The Pete Dye Course at French Lick

Sketched on a napkin and carved into history by Hall of Fame architect Pete Dye, this course hosted the Senior PGA Championship in 2015. Senior PGA champion Colin Montgomerie called it "one of the iconic courses" in America and one that golfers all over the world will want to play. The Pete Dye Course has gained national acclaim for its 40-mile panoramic views of the southern Indiana countryside, three man-made lakes, "volcano" bunkers and a variety of elevation changes.

French Lick Scenic Railway - The Polar Express

Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS for a magical 80 minute trip through a rail yard, neighborhoods and through a tunnel on the way to The North Pole. Once on board, your conductor will work their way through the coach and punch your ticket before hot chocolate and a delicious cookie are served by dancing chefs. Passengers then read along with the classic children's book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg.

Santa and his helpers board the train to greet passengers and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas - a silver sleigh bell. On the return trip from the North Pole, elves on each car lead passengers in caroling, and onboard entertainment - creating memories you will never forget! Each child will take home a keepsake sleigh bell in addition to the wonderful memories made on this magical trip.

Coach Class seating is in both 1920's era and 1960's era commuter coaches. These cars typically seat around 80 passengers on padded bench-type seating. Ages 2 and up require a ticket.

Grand Funk Railroad

This is "Some Kind of Wonderful": Grand Funk Railroad will roll through French Lick while commemorating 52 years of making music together. Their high-energy show is sure to include some of their mega-hits such as "We're An American Band," "I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home," "Locomotion" and, of course, "Some Kind of Wonderful." After forming in Flint, Michigan in 1969, Grand Funk Railroad played to sold-out venues worldwide - a 1971 show at New York's Shea Stadium sold out faster than the Beatles. Grand Funk's legacy still reigns over the classic rock landscape 50 years later, a testament to the influence and staying power of one of classic rock's classic acts.

The Donald Ross Course at French Lick

This classic course designed by iconic architect Donald Ross underwent a $5 million restoration in 2007. When the project was completed, 80 of Ross' trademark bunkers with flat bottoms and deep, gnarly faces were once again in place along with expanded, square or rectangular shaped greens that severely undulate. The course is a par 70 and plays to 7,000 yards. The Donald Ross course has been rated the No. 2 public course in Indiana by GolfWeek every year since 2011.

Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden

Situated on 45-scenic acres of rolling hills on Evansville's northwest side, our Zoo is home to hundreds of animals from around the globe.
