Women Against MS (WAMS) is one of the National MS Society's premier fundraising campaigns to support those living with MS. It is an empowering way for women to unite with other women in the movement to create a world free of MS. More than twenty similar MS events are hosted across the country, bringing leaders from the business and philanthropic communities together to ensure that we move MS research forward. This year the event will features a keynote speaker, Cheryl Hile, who will share her MS story, a Woman of Spirit Award presentation to a woman who is making a significant mark on our local philanthropic community, updates on the work of the National MS Society and an impressive silent auction. This networking event educates, motivates, and inspires.
Since its inception in 2002, the Women Against MS Luncheon has raised more than $2.7 million to help fund cutting-edge research, facilitate education, and provide programs and services that empower people with MS and their families to move their lives forward. In 2020, we had over 1500 viewers for our first ever virtual luncheon on YouTube- over three times that of our in-person attendance! We had attendees tuning in from all over the US & Canada and even internationally from Brazil and Scotland! The event recording is still available on the MS Society's YouTube page, which has 26,0000 subscribers, continuing our partners' visibility well beyond the date of the event!
