01920's Great Gatsby-esque Murder Mystery Parent Party
Saturday, August 28, 2021
- Location and time will be sent to winning bidders.
- Cost: $50 per person. Limited to the first 18 guests who register.
The Fun Details:
After starting the evening with bubbly (of course), guests will enjoy a four-course dinner and drinks outside under a tent on the back lawn of the Lands End estate, seated at socially-distanced tables. Meet the other guests over appetizers, investigate the mystery during dinner, and guess whodunnit over dessert. Though costumes aren't required, they are definitely encouraged! Prizes will be awarded for best costume and super sleuth. We will send details about your role in advance so you have plenty of time to plan your costume and get into character.
Some Background:
There's murder on the menu -- and the killer just may be you! The year is 1922 and the Roaring '20s are just getting underway. The end of the war has meant the start of a renewed sense of passion and joie de vive. Unfortunately, two years ago the government implemented prohibition, giving rise to smuggling, organized crime and allowing enterprising members of "regular" society to become millionaires virtually overnight.
Welcome to Lands End, a grand estate on the tip of Sands Point, Long Island. The owner, an elusive millionaire named Mr. Foxx, throws lavish parties each weekend, but has never been seen. Tonight, he will break his silence and come out from the shadows to reveal himself to an exclusive, and bafflingly varied group of guests. But when a guest is found floating in the pool, clearly murdered, the dinner party turns into an investigation, and every guest is a suspect!
Become a sleuth. Discover the killer and - if you can - the identity of The Sly Mr. Foxx.
