HOW IT WORKS

Drive-In Location: Lloyd Center | The entrance is at the West-end parking garage at Lloyd Center (10th Ave and NE Halsey). Note, we will be on the top level of the parking structure which is open-air and uncovered.

Streaming Location: picabloom.givesmart.com

Drive-in entry opens at 6:45 PM
In-person and virtual streaming begins at 8:00 PM
Cars arriving after 7:45 PM will be denied entry and no refund will be given

Safety is our number one priority. With that in mind, we're offering 100 physically-distant drive-in spots for those who are looking to get out of the house and vibe in collective energy. These outdoor party-plots are first-come-first-served at a sliding scale of $20-$200. Prefer to stay indoors? Prefer to stay indoors? No problem! You can still access the performances and on-screen action from our fundraising website. Plus, Bloom streamers can also enjoy a pre-show playlist courtesy of VNPRT.

Pack a picnic! Feel free to bring and enjoy your own snacks and beverages in the safety of your vehicle. Although alcohol is not permitted, tasty treats are highly encouraged!

TICKETS + REGISTRATION

  • Drive-in tickets are sold online in advance only.
  • If you are planning to watch from home, please register in advance. However, registration is not required to stream the event on April 30, 2021.
  • If you are planning to donate, bid, or buy merch, don't wait! Register now for ease of transaction.
  • When purchasing tickets for the drive-in experience you will be asked for some vehicle information. This information will determine your viewing spot at the drive-in and assist with on-site check-in.
  • Although prompted, you do not need to provide the names of all guests. Only the purchaser or group contact is needed.


ACCESS

The in-person drive-in experience can only be accessed by car through the advanced purchase of a ticket. The streaming event is available online, is free, and can be accessed from the comfort of your home. Both events will have captioning available. ADA accessible bathrooms will be on-site at the drive-in. The pathway to the bathrooms is also accessible for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

Strobe Warning: Strobe and flashing lights will be used during the end-of-the-night performance by Shannon Funchess aka LIGHT ASYLUM.

 

COVID-19

We'll be following the guidelines outlined by Oregon Health Authority for safely operating drive-in events at this time, including asking the following of our guests:

  • Anyone who is experiencing or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in contact with others who are, are asked to stay home to avoid the risk of exposing others.
  • All staff and guests over the age of two years old are required to wear a mask that meets current CDC guidelines at all times when outside a vehicle or interacting with staff.
  • We ask that all guests remain in their cars during the drive-in and maintain a distance of at least 6 feet apart when outside of the vehicle or in public spaces e.g. visiting bathrooms. Sorry, no tailgating! 
  • Consumption of all food and beverages will only be permitted inside vehicles.
  • All guests will be asked to take their own trash with them when they leave.
  • A maximum of four guests are allowed in one vehicle as long as the people are from the same household or pod. You must be in a vehicle to be admitted.

NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographs and/or videos will be taken at this event. In being present at any Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA) event you grant PICA full rights to use the images, videos, or recordings for fundraising, publicity, or other purposes to help achieve PICA's mission. This might include (but is not limited to), use in PICA's printed and online material, social media, and press releases, website etc. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform a PICA staff member. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event. Thank you and enjoy the night!
