Lolich is most known for his performance in the 1968 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals where he earned three complete game victories including a win over Bob Gibson in Game 7. Lolich who won the 1968 World Series MVP, was also a 3x MLB All-Star and lead the MLB in both strikeouts and wins during the 1971 season.
