The course is located in the middle of an 800-acre parkland overlooking Santa Monica Bay with ocean views visible from several holes. While not long by modern standards the course is 6433 yards par 71 from the black tees. Five sets of tees provide a challenge for all golfers. The combination of barrancas, creeks, and bunkers requires strategically placed tee shots and accurate approach shots to small well-defended greens. The front nine is one of the few courses with what is called a "perfect nine" in that there are no two consecutive holes with the same par.

Laurel Glen Vineyard, a thousand feet up the slopes of Sonoma Mountain, has long been considered one of the iconic Cabernet vineyards of California. Originally planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1960's, the present-day vineyard was developed in the 1970's by Sonoma wine pioneer Patrick Campbell.

The vineyard's combination of high altitude, eastern exposure, rocky soils, and small diurnal temperature swings combine to produce memorable wines, rooted in a sense of place. The Europeans who 'settled' Sonoma Mountain in the 1880's planted wine grapes. A row of these pioneer grapevines still grow at Laurel Glen Vineyard. They are gnarly old vines twisting their way up out of the red volcanic rock soil, right next to two rows of Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1968.

Starting with vintage 2012, what little fruit these three rows of old vines produced was pressed into a field blend Rosé. Part of the blend is Cabernet Sauvignon and part is a mix of obscure red varietals, most of which we can't identify with any certainty!

The winner of this item will receive four, thirty-minute piano lessons at Raffia Music School in Lomita with piano instructor Srimal De Mel - a professional musician from Torrance, California.

His primary instrument is piano. As a composer and producer, he is better known as "Dynamic De Mel" with three albums to his name. He has performed across the nation, including appearances at the Reno Jazz festival, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, and the Central Avenue Jazz festival. He is currently a Jazz Studies major at Cal State Fullerton.

Srimal's approach to teaching is straightforward and optimized. He can teach piano at any style and level. His studies in the Jazz, Pop, and Classical idioms are backed up by over a decade of experience. Srimal performs regularly around the South Bay with various bands. As a student himself, Srimal loves to teach and share his knowledge with others.
