STCS Principal for a Day is a once in a lifetime opportunity for your child to rule the school! Your child's day is filled with fun, snacks, lunch with friends, and other activities. Your child can also "hire" (ask a friend) an Assistant Principal to assist in activities. What more could a child want?!

Date: Thursday, May 27

The student will:

Make announcements

Talk on the phone

Order and have lunch with 4 friends in the main office conference room

Carry a radio

Do classroom rounds with the principal

Sit in on meetings (non-confidential)

Sit at principal's desk and staple, cut paper, write memos, highlight "documents"

Get a picture taken sitting behind the principal's desk and receive a frame for it

Receive and wear a customized name badge and a receive a special certificate

Receive a Special Mug and Principal for Day book

Pull the fire alarm and hold a fire drill with our Assistant Principal

Receive a whistle and blow the whistle to end one of the lunch recesses outside

Make a decision to provide an extra recess for the entire school for another day (and announce it)

Dress up in "principal" attire

Run a leadership meeting with the main office staff (with assistance and support) to give suggestions as to what are the school's greatest needs, what needs do the student's have, what would the student do differently or what would the student keep

Be outside during drop off and pick up to greet car (parent of Principal for a Day can use the Principal's parking spot on the designated day)
