Erin, age 12, was brought into foster care due to being sexually abused and her mother's failure to protect her. She loves basketball and when she attends high school next year she wants to try out for the school team. She would like a pair of basketball shoes.

Jocelyn, age 17, was brought into custody last year with her young newborn for neglect. They were living in a tent with her mother, but Jocelyn is now working towards transitional living with her son. She is an amazing mother and rarely thinks of her own needs. Due to health needs, she would like to learn to cook for herself, so cooking utensils and cookbooks would be helpful for her to live on her own.

Brenda, age 16, has been in foster care for five years due to physical abuse and neglect by her mother. She has struggled and acted out, but really is a sweet young woman who has a beautiful singing voice. Singing is a positive activity for her and given her talent, singing lessons would be not only appreciated but a positive motivator for her.
