Artist: Gerald Mead

Description of Buffalo: Titled "The Brass STAMPede Jr.," his buffalo is a small scale version of the buffalo he created for the 2000 Herd About Buffalo project, when his corporate sponsor was Outokumpu American Brass. The front of the Buffalo is covered with a collage of four different stamps (the oldest is from 1920s) that have been issued by the United States Post Office commemorating the American Bison. The rest of the buffalo has been painted with a metallic brass finish. The buffalo is approximately 18" long and 12" high and made of terra cotta.
