Artist: Shelley Hain-Lewandowski

Description of Buffalo: "Go with the Flow" is the Acrylic Pouring or Fluid Painting. Layers of acrylic paints poured over Buffalo to create an organic-free flowing abstract composition. She loves the aesthetics as the various pigments push and pull against each other, the impact is dynamic!

The buffalo is made of terra cotta are approximately 18" long and 12" high.

Artist Bio: Shelley Hain - Lewandowski comes to the Creative Arts Team with a diverse background in dance/movement. Shelley Hain has earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the State University of New York at Buffalo and holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Houston at Clear Lake City, Texas.

With over 30 years of teaching, Hain has been on the faculty at SUNY Buffalo in the Theatre and Dance Department and Buffalo Stage College HPER Dept., instructing classes in Jazz, Contemporary Modern technique and Creative Movement as well as the Health and Physical Education department at Niagara County Community College. Shelley Hain is also proud to have been on faculty for the dance Masters of America Teacher Training School and SHIP program and conducting classes for the American College Dance Festival.

Besides her teaching responsibilities, Shelley has shared her dance knowledge with countless elementary and high school students as a teaching artist with the Western New York Institute for the Arts in Education. Throughout her professional career, Shelley Hain has had the pleasure of choreographing, performing, judging and adjudicating for many creative artists and dance companies locally and internationally. Shelly Hain is also a licensed massage therapist with a private practice.

Dance can invigorate our mind, body and spirit, giving an awakening and renewal of one's life energy. Movement is a very holistic and integrative modality from simple arm gestures, learning tap dance as well as yoga positions. In addition to movement, Shelley can offer many other creative projects to lift your spirit, to calm you or connect with the "artist" within you!
