The Maritimes region of Canada has some unique food dishes that are indigenous to the area. It is a cultural phenomenon that has brought people to the area time and time again.
Candace and her family will bring their favorite Canadian dishes to the table with the assistance of Chef Gary. This party of up to 8 guests will enjoy the ambiance of dining in Open Door Mission's kitchen while watching many of the foods being prepared before their very eyes! Portions unless otherwise stated will be a tasting size to allow you the JOY and PLEASURE of an unforgettable Maritime tradition.
The First Course will consist of the following finger foods: poutine, dulse and asparagus
The Second Course will consist of mini donairs and garlic fingers with dipping sauce.
The Main Entree will be a seafood chowder and dinner roll, 1.5-2 pound lobstah, steamed clams and mussels, tossed salad and a baked potato.
Dessert will be Eat-More bars, snow pudding and blueberry grunt.
Drinks of Iced Tea and Water will be bountiful.
