For supporting animals with a donation of $50, you will receive a paw-written note and photo from Annie.
Annie was found under a bridge in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood the week before Thanksgiving. She was emaciated, her body had multiple puncture wounds, and her tail was so badly damaged that the bone was visible. Our team rallied to care for this fragile pup by stitching her wounds, amputating most of her tail, providing a healthy diet, and showering her with lots of loving attention. Despite all that Annie has endured in her short two years of life, she has charmed our staff with her sweet nature and plenty of gentle kisses. The special pup stole the heart of her foster's brother and her adoption has since been finalized. Annie now spends her days cuddling on the couch with her favorite human.

Wiener Schnitzel is a wonder dog that overcame many obstacles in his short year of life. When he was transferred in from another human society, he was unable to properly use his back right leg. Upon his initial physical examination, our veterinary team suspected an amputation would be needed. One of our staff veterinarians, Dr. Medhurst, saw a glimpse of hope and designed a plan to save this pup's leg. With surgery and an extensive personalized physical therapy plan, Wiener Schnitzel was able to keep his leg. This handsome fella now lives a happy and loved life with his dad who had joined the foster failure club as a result of this special boy.

This 5-year-old came to us with a rough past and is relearning how to trust humans again. Our field service team was called to rescue this sweet boy after a witness saw him being thrown from a car. Since being in our care, he has progressed remarkably. He allows pets and seems interested in getting to know and become more comfortable around people.

For supporting animals with a donation of $75, you will receive a paw-written note and photo from Groot and Root.
Groot and Root were abandoned on a Chicago street in a tiny cage filled with filth and feces. When our team picked them up, they were timid and scared, matted and dirty. We took them in, cleaned them up, and nursed them back to health. Both of these cute canines have made a remarkable transformation since the day they were rescued. Groot and Root have each found their own family and are being spoiled rotten with attention and affection.

This itty bitty one started out life as a fighter. At birth, Frankie's umbilical cord was wrapped around his little foot which led to circulation loss. He now gets around on 3 legs but that hasn't affected this kitten from being his silly self! Frankie is currently living with a foster where he is learning many new things--like how to use a ramp to get up on the bed! This kitten may be little, but he's got a lot to show this world!

For supporting animals with a donation of $50, you will receive a paw-written note and photo from Daysha.
This special girl came to us with a regretful story. Our field service team picked up this sweetie after it was reported that her previous owner had passed away and Daysha had been living in the house alone for six months. When she arrived, she was extremely fearful of everything and attempted to remove herself of any situation involving a human. She continued to progress and while she still may be hesitant in her initial greeting of others, she now LOVES to be around people.
Daysha has since found her forever home where she will never have to feel the sense of neglect ever again.

Allen was given an unfair start to life.
This delicate kitten was found buried inside of a garbage truck. A passerby witnessed a garbage city worker examining the back of his truck and pulled out a living creature, covered in filth. It is believed that he was thrown into a garbage can and abandoned. The witness kindly offered to take him and brought this little guy to us. Since being in our care, Allen has learned what being loved feels like. He is quite the curious boy who loves playing with his kitten friends! This sweet boy has since found his forever home.

For supporting animals with a donation of $50, you will receive a paw-written note and photo from Orphan Annie.
A single stray kitten was rescued and brought into the shelter, no momma or other kittens in sight. We decided to name this orange-headed orphan "Annie." A momma cat named Nina, who was already in our care, was busy caring for her two barely 8-day-old kitties. Nina happily took the orange-headed orphan into her brood and began treating her as her very own. This once lonely and afraid little one could now nurse alongside her new siblings and learn how to be a kitten from her brand new family.

Mr. Fluffykins was surrendered to The Anti-Cruelty Society when his previous owner lost her job and could no longer afford to care for him. During his initial physical examination, our veterinary team discovered that Mr. Fluffykins teeth were extremely overgrown and almost growing through his nose. We were not sure if he could even eat at the time of intake. Our team was able to trim his teeth just in time. This sweet rabbit has since been adopted and has started his brand new beginning.
