Front top box artwork reminiscent of the Qing dynasty established in 1636. Constructed in circa early 20th century.
The box depicts an outdoor scene of spring wit hills by the ocean. The outfits the young women are married are of upper-class women who are married and unmarried. Considered a "footed jewelry box."
Inside the box it has a Chinese Farmers Almanac to share lucky and unlucky dates, for a date selection tool.
Side handles, hinges and front lock are traditional Chinese style. Side images included for ancestor worship.
Size approx. 12' x 15' inches
