Through the ash of the Everglades fires in 2019 was a glimpse of the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico. Local artist Lois Selfon captured this melancholy, yet beautiful vista in this gorgeous painting.
This 24"x36" painting has been dye-infused onto a specially coated aluminum and sealed with a gemlike UV coating that is both water and scratch resistant, and the archival quality is out of this world.
Artist Lois relocated to Naples following a career in Washington, D.C. in Government Affairs. A Certified Master Gardener, Lois' love of gardening and service to the City of Naples, Florida overseeing their trees, parks and recreational facilities have consumed much of her time.
Lois has always been a student of art. She has studied at the Museum of American Art, the Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C., Artis-Naples, the Naples Art Association and extensive private study with nationally recognized artists/teachers from Santa Fe, North Carolina and Miami, Florida. Some awards along the way.
