Joel Grey is well known for his storied career in the performing arts, but less known is his success as a photographer, evidenced by works at the MoMA and Whitney and several published books, including The Flower Whisperer, from which this image hails. The book showcases photographs of abstracted flowers, shot from a point of view that distorts and disorients the images, highlighting the surprises and pleasures found in nature.
