Renowned textile designer Suzanne Tick is creating collaborative art with the DIFFA community. The Tick Studio team will lead DIFFA by Design attendees through a vibrant communal weaving experience that will result in an art piece auctioned off through DIFFA. In addition to a selection of Luum Textiles that will be available, attendees and fellow exhibitors are welcomed to bring discarded and recycled materials pre-cut into ½" x 9" strips, including items of clothing, plastic packing material, mylar balloons, plastic bags, ribbons, yarns, textiles, samples, and more.

Swurve, Keilhauer's award-winning carbon neutral office chair, brings comfort and elegance to any room. When designing Swurve, Keilhauer eliminated carbon emissions at every turn by sustainably sourcing materials, responsibly manufacturing all elements of the chair and implementing an end-of-life recycling plan. Where carbon emissions remain (such as during the transportation process), Keilhauer has offset the effects by investing in carbon emission and climate change mitigation projects. As such, every Swurve sold will produce net-zero carbon emissions. Swurve's carbon neutral status is a result of Keilhauer's commitment to designing sustainable products with long, useful lives that are repairable and recyclable.

Carl Hansen & Søn, which is known for its extensive collection of furniture created by Hans J. Wegner, is - true to tradition - celebrates the master chair designer's birthday by producing the iconic Wishbone Chair in a limited edition, this time in high-gloss lacquered mahogany. As a collector's item, the special birthday edition has a small brass plate engraved with Hans J. Wegner's signature and date of birth discreetly placed on the inside of the chair frame. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The Wishbone Chair in mahogany has a beautiful surface with reddish-brown hues which are accentuated and protected by a strong high-gloss lacquer that gives the chair a shiny finish. Historically, mahogany has been used to make furniture since the 15th century, and during the 16th and 17th centuries the exotic wood was the preferred material for furniture making, particularly on account of its strength and stability.

The famous Wishbone Chair, which is known for its sculptural wooden frame and woven seat, was one of the first models that Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Son in 1949. The chair, which has been produced at Carl Hansen & Son's factory on Funen, Denmark since 1950, comprises 14 parts, while its seat is woven by hand from 120 meters of paper cord. More than 70 years after it entered production, the Wishbone Chair is still celebrated as an international design icon on account of its clean lines, down-to-earth materials and the uncompromising craftsmanship which has helped to define Danish design.
