Adopt a Community Based Services
family like the W Family.
"The Clark family consists of three boys, ages being 8, 11, and 13. They live with their mother, who is a single parent. Ms. Miller works 60 hours a week as a manager in a restaurant to provide for her boys. Despite her work schedule, she comes home every night to make her boys dinner, to help them with their homework, and to give them love and attention. Due to a recent COVID-19 diagnosis, Ms. Miller will not be able to work until Thanksgiving, which will put a strain on the family's resources and finances until the end of the month. This family would benefit significantly from donations, no matter what it is. A little holiday cheer would certainly brighten up their Christmas Season".
- This program provides in-home and community services in 15 counties across the state to provide preventive services and therapy to strengthen families with children aged 0 to adulthood.
- Our primary emphasis is on the family unit, focusing on family therapy, preservation of the family unit, parenting education and skills, developing structure in the home, crisis stabilization, and helping find resources.
The best thing about Operation Santa has always been providing all kids in the family with something to celebrate and bring a little joy into what can be a challenging time for families.
With 2020 being extra challenging for so many families, providing families with something to look forward to with the holidays makes the holidays a little less daunting and something they get to look forward to.
Please support one of our CBS families with a gift card this Christmas.
Mom got teary-eyed and emotional, asking for a hug after dropping off gifts because she had said that without the gifts, she would have not been able to provide any gifts and she had prepared the kids that they were not receiving anything.
Operation Santa helps families that need financial support to be able to provide a joyful experience for their families. It helps alleviate the burden and pressure to provide for the family and it allows the family to be able to focus on other needs. In the past, it has helped families receive much needed items such as furniture, home appliances that might need to be replaced and essential clothing on top of toys/preferred gifts.

Adopt Susie's Family
Susie hopes to use this gift card to purchase a gift or two for her foster child to give to his biological parents and sibling.
"Since this our foster child's first Christmas in care, I know it will be emotional and challenging for everyone involved. We want them to know we are thinking of them and we are in this together. A gift card during this holiday season would be a blessing that would then allow us to bless a separated family. We hope that this would be an encouragement to them (as it definitely would be to us) and remind them that we are all on the same team. Maintaining positive relationships with biological parents is of top priority to us and hopefully encourages them on their journey of healing and restoration."

Adopt Lizs' Family
"Buying items for my foster son that will benefit his speech and occupational therapies in the home between sessions. It has been hard for him to have his appointments on telehealth because we cannot use the equipment from the offices. Some items that could benefit him are a therapy ball, a tunnel, bristle blocks, instruments, books with textures he can feel, a mini trampoline, a swing, or a mini shopping cart that he can load with stuff to get his energy out. My husband lost his job due to covid, and we lost a lot of income this year. On top of that, we just had to replace our furnace and now are replacing our roof. We have had our foster son with us for 10 months, so thankfully, he has been able to stay with us, but we have not been able to provide as much extra" stuff for him as we would like."

Adopt Jamie's Family
"I am a planner and have slowly been working on holiday gifts; however, a gift card would free up cash flow funds toward our annual service project. Each year they choose either an elderly neighbor or my oldest calls the local retirement homes and asks for a senior that doesn't have a family to bless them. This year will look different due to COVID-19 and the change in parameters to participate. Unfortunately, this excludes most cost-effective home-made items, which will impact our ability to bless others financially."

Adopt the Tesmer Family
The Tesmer's are fostering teens for the first time this holiday season; the teens are a joy to be around; however, they are much more expensive than the babies they've fostered in the past. A gift card would go a long way in helping the Tesmer's give their foster teen the Christmas that he deserves!
"It would make a huge difference. We love all our kids! We just didn't anticipate the financial difference in fostering a teen vs. the babies and toddlers we have fostered in the past."
