Rare and sought-after "The Higher Vision" first edition, Order of the Arrow bronze figurine. Number 48 of 1,000.
A true find!
THE HIGHER VISION by BSA official artist Joseph Csatari. The artwork was the first piece ever commissioned by the Boy Scouts from Joe Csatari. At the time, Joe was an artist for the BSA. Aquehongian Lodge 114 in Staten Island, NY commissioned the work in honor of their Lodge Adviser Lee Ellison. In the 1960's, the lodge donated the painting to the National Council/Order of the Arrow. This edition is bronze plated, sits on a hardwood base with a handsome custom engraved brass nameplate. It has been meticulously hand detailed. The Higher Vision tells the story of Uncas, chief of the Lenni Lennape, handing the Legend of the Order of the Arrow to an arrowman. It is a powerful, proud piece and makes a fine presentation piece to any arrowman.
