2014 Otis Vinyard Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5 L (1 bottle): Inspired by his father's achievements at Alhambra Winery in the 1940s, Otis Harlan was instilled a passion for growing wine grapes. In 1954, Harlan purchased what is now Otis Vineyard, and within two years he had planted a six acre block of Cabernet Sauvignon. Soon after, Harlan met William Bridgman of Upland Vineyard and the two became fast friends, sharing their knowledge of the wine business. The Otis Vineyard plantings continue to produce today, on a much larger scale, making the vineyard one of the oldest recorded plantings in Washington State and a pioneer site for other varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

2017 History Columbia Valley Red Blend, 1.5 L Magnum (1 bottle): In her 16-year tenure as a winemaker, Melissa Burr is most excited to share this Red Blend. Having primarily worked with Pinot Noir, she seized the opportunity to craft a wine comprised of some of the best vineyard sites with the oldest fruit planted in the Pacific Northwest and the best vineyards. This wine marks the first blend in the History portfolio - a genuine diamond in the rocks. The wine exhibits the balance of all the varieties playing together with opulent fruit, fresh earth, caramelized sugar, and baking spice. It has a long finish that begs for another sip.

2015 Stoller Helen's Pinot Noir, 1.5 L Magnum (2 bottles): Named after Bill Stoller's aunt, this wine is made primarily from the Wädenswil clone of Pinot Noir. Helen's has a quietly elegant nose of ripe, succulent red fruit and black cherry, which give way for secondary notes of lavender, baking spice and minerality. The palate shows nuanced flavors of cherry pie and rose petals leading to a long finish. Warm and temperate spring weather prompted an early bud break as well as perfect weather for ideal fruit set, thereby producing larger, luscious clusters with lots of berries. The consistently dry weather and summer sun beautifully ripened the fruit until the end of August when a cold front came in and slowed down the assumed trajectory of our harvest. The cooler temperatures slowed down the sugar accumulation of the fruit and allowed for a longer hang time on the vine. Consequently, we were able to bring in the fruit as the flavors presented themselves. As a result, the wines are concentrated with complex layers and bright acidity.

2015 Stoller Reserve Pinot Noir, 1.5 L Magnum (1 bottle): Our 2015 Reserve Pinot Noir reveals hints of a warm growing season, opening with aromatics of black cherry, cedar and licorice. The palate presents elegant tannins, carrying flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry. This wine can be enjoyed now; however, it was constructed for longevity with proper cellaring.

2016 Stoller Reserve Pinot Noir, 1.5 L Magnum (1 bottle): Our 2016 Reserve Pinot Noir is a blend of our Pinot Noir clones: Dijon 777, 667, 115 and 114, Pommard and Wädenswil, with Pommard being the dominant clone. Fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks and our oak fermenter, it sees full malolactic conversion during its 12-month elevage period in 30% new French oak. It was racked in July 2017 and kept in stainless steel for another six months to gain extended time on lees, and marry the blend before bottling. Revealing hints of a warm growing season, this wine opens with aromatics of black cherry, sandalwood and baking spice. The palate presents elegant tannins, carrying flavors of ripe tart cherry and cranberry. This wine can be enjoyed now; however, it was constructed for longevity with proper cellaring.

2016 Chehalem Reserve Pinot Noir, 1.5 L Magnum (2 bottles):

This is the year of Earliest Ever. The winter was warm, budbreak was early and 2016 never looked back; bloom, veraison and harvest , all early records. Harvest began in August and was done before October. Although early, the growing season wasn't as hot as the prior three, but still the same new warm norm. Fruit is fully ripe but not overripe, moderate alcohols, good enough acids and intense, easily extracted, dense wines, from 15% smaller berry sizes and yields. Potentially an excellent-to-classic vintage.

Following the trend of the past several vintages, summer was warm, but nighttime temperatures remained cool, helping the fruit to hold its natural acidity. As harvest approached, temperatures cooled ever so slightly, creating perfect fruit ripening conditions. With no big rainstorms on the horizon, we never had an urgency to pick. Once we started picking fruit, the vintage was slow and consistent with perfect flavors and lab numbers. The 2018 vintage will produce fantastic wines.
