If you could only hear about New York-based filmmaker Isabel Sandoval via one quote, we think The Museum of Modern Art said it best when it recognized Isabel Sandoval as a "rarity among the young generation of Filipino filmmakers."

Over the past decade, Isabel has cemented her status as one of the preeminent filmmakers representing the Filipino community. She has produced, written, and directed three full-length features, each receiving its own accolades and awards. And in March 2017, Isabel Sandoval was part of the SXSW 2017 panel "The Future is Female: Parity Now" alongside acclaimed filmmakers Bette Gordon and Nanfu Wang. Clearly, the future is Isabel Sandoval.

Isabel is a New York-based filmmaker whom The Museum of Modern Art has recognized as a "rarity among the young generation of Filipino filmmakers". Her third feature, Lingua Franca, a drama about an undocumented Filipina transwoman in Brooklyn, recently premiered on Netflix to considerable acclaim. It also screened at the Frameline44 Pride Showcase in June.

She has produced, written and directed three full-length features, including Senorita (2011), which premiered in competition at the Locarno Film Festival and was nominated for Best Picture by the Young Critics Circle of the Philippines. Senorita also won the Emerging Director Award at the 2012 Asian-American International Film Festival.

Her second feature film, Apparition (2012), a period drama about cloistered Filipino nuns during the Marcos regime, premiered at Busan International Film Festival and won at prestigious festivals including the Hawaii International Film Festival and the Deauville Film Festival. In 2017, MoMA featured Apparition in its series "A New Golden Age: Contemporary Philippine Cinema" alongside works by Filipino masters Lav Diaz and Brillante Mendoza.

Meanwhile, Lingua Franca has received support from IFP, SFFILM, Frameline, the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Tribeca Film Institute. It premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and was acquired by Ava DuVernay's ARRAY for North America.

The average person may recognize Mike Doyle from his current roles on NBC's New Amsterdam and Showtime's City on a Hill. However, we know that you, Frameline aficionado and lover of cinema, automatically recognized him as the Writer and Director of 2019's Sell By - which had it's US premiere at Frameline and then traveled the festival circuit garnering major awards along the way, including best feature, best screenplay, and best director. Sell By was released in the US this April under the title Almost Love. It stars Kate Walsh, Scott Evans, Augustus Prew, Michelle Buteau, and Patricia Clarkson. Sell By was Mike's second showing at Frameline. He also appeared in Gayby at Frameline36 in 2012.

Mike most recently directed The Chase, a short film written by Nick Jandl, his producing partner. Mike is veteran actor, with years of experience in film and television, working with greats like Clint Eastwood, Karyn Kusama, Richard LaGravenese, Nancy Savoca, & Martin Campbell, to name a few.

Mike has generously donated 30 minutes of his time to talk about a wide range of topics, including what it takes to be a film and TV actor, how to transition from actor to commanding roles behind the camera, and how he unplugs after the demands of the entertainment industry.

Mike Doyle attended the Juilliard School as a member of the Drama Division's Group 27 (1994-1998).

On the set of Oz, Doyle met George Morfogen, whom he would cast in Shiner, a short film written, produced and directed by Doyle that debuted at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Doyle also wrote and produced the 2003 limited-release film Cutter and also appeared as Jamie Perse, a small-time crook, in the 1996 television miniseries Titanic (also starring Peter Gallagher and Catherine Zeta-Jones).

Doyle played Lt. Cmdr. Tom Palatonio in the 2005 action film Phantom Below. His death in the season 10 finale of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ended a successful six-year run as forensic tech Ryan O'Halloran on the show. He guest starred on episodes of Criminal Minds and In Plain Sight.

He appeared alongside Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart in 2010's Rabbit Hole. In 2011, the feature film Union Square, co-written and directed by Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Award Winner Nancy Savoca, was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, which starred Mira Sorvino, Patti Lupone, Michael Rispoli and Tammy Blanchard. He also starred in The Orphan Killer as Marcus Miller Sr. in 2011. He then joined the cast of A Gifted Man as Victor Lantz, an anesthesiologist. He had a recurring role in the 2012 ABC television series 666 Park Avenue.

In 2014, he portrayed songwriter and record producer Bob Crewe in the film of the hit musical Jersey Boys, based on the story of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. He also appeared in the music video "I Wanna Get Better" by Jack Antonoff's band Bleachers, alongside Retta. In 2016 Doyle starred as Greg Forrest in the psychological thriller Amy Makes Three.

He works with Cheshire Moon- an organization that raises money to help put arts back into middle schools. He has taught theatre and dance to children since he was 16 and still does it today- so keeping people passionate about youth arts is something he cares deeply about."

About John Waters:

Growing up in Baltimore in the 1950s, John Waters was not like other children; he was obsessed by violence and gore, both real and on the screen. With his weird counter-culture friends as his cast, he began making silent 8mm and 16mm films in the mid-'60s; he screened these in rented Baltimore church halls to underground audiences drawn by word of mouth and street leafleting campaigns. As his filmmaking grew more polished and his subject matter more shocking, his audiences grew bigger, and his write-ups in the Baltimore papers more outraged. By the early 1970s he was making features, which he managed to get shown in midnight screenings in art cinemas by sheer perseverance. About Buddies:

Arthur J. Bressan, Jr. (Gay USA) created this indie masterpiece in 1985, which was the first feature length drama about AIDS.

When 25 year-old gay yuppie David (David Schachter) volunteers to be a "buddy" to an AIDS patient, the gay community center assigns him to Robert (Geoff Edholm), a 32 year-old politically impassioned gay California gardener abandoned by his friends and lovers. Revolving around the confines of Robert's Manhattan hospital room, Bressan skillfully unfolds this devastating two-hander (the rest of the cast is only heard off-screen). As David gazes out at the piers and rooftops of Manhattan, we hear his deftly scripted diary entries in voiceover. And as David is changed by knowing Robert, so, too, are we. In the simplicity of the story and the elegance of its unfolding, Buddies achieves a rare perfection. It's a timeless portrayal of an entire era in gay history.

Buddies was scripted in San Francisco in five days with input from friends with AIDS. It was shot independently in nine days in New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco with a budget of approximately $27,000. Bressan said "For me there is a real moral issue in going around and raising several hundred thousand dollars to make a movie about the pain and suffering and lives of people with AIDS who can't make rent and are living on food stamps. I really felt I'd better make Buddies small, low budget, and powerful... I did not want to spend a year or two doing an AIDS movie which should be made now."

Owner of Williams Tennis School, Steve is also the Head Pro and Junior Tennis Coordinator at a tennis and athletic club located in Longmont, CO.

In addition to being certified as a USPTA Pro (elite professional), Steve is also certified as a High Performance Coach by the USTA and USPTA. In 2012, Steve was chosen by the USTA Intermountain to coach the Intersectionals boys and girls 16's team in Shreveport, LA. From 2008-2009 Steve coached the men's team at the University of Northern Colorado, the only public Division 1 Men's Tennis program in the state. In the summer of 2012, Steve started as the Director of Adidas Tennis Camps out of Colorado State University.

For 2016 and 2017, Steve was selected by USTA Colorado as a player development coach. Steve will be coaching the "Early Development Camps" and "Team Colorado" in cooperation with USTA Colorado coaches and other tennis pros, and will be actively involved with player development of some of the top kids in the state.

Although Benny grew up in Malta, Ayurvedic traditions carried on in her life as her mother used natural remedies at home. In fact, Benny is the granddaughter of an Ayurvedic healer, thus natural medicine and Ayurveda were instilled in her from a very young age. However, she truly embraced Traditional Indian medicine only many years later in an effort to treat a chronic skin condition. After consulting with several dermatologists and Western medicine physicians, it was only with Ayurveda that Benny found a cure. This personal journey led her to discover her passion for holistic medicine and healing.

About Patrick Savage -

Growing up-athletic and incessantly reckless-Pat took note of his mentors, who were sidelined by body aches and chronic joint damage. "Just wait until you're my age," they'd say, "when nothing works the way it used to."

Later on, at the University of Maine, Pat studied chemistry, then physiology in graduate school, and spent most of his college experience honing skills in personal training and group fitness. During that time, he practiced bodybuilding, powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and sport-specific conditioning, among other accessory exercise tools.

The primary aim was to figure out how to help people move better without pain. Pat's focus today is the culmination of over twelve years training nearly every type of individual imaginable; decode habitual movement patterns and tailor a program that will cater to longevity and the client's intended goals. Ultimately, his gratification comes in being able to help others get fit and enjoy their quality of life, regardless of age, sport/exercise background, or prior injury.
