More about Nadir Joshua:

Nadir Joshua was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He attended undergrad at Rutgers University, majoring in Political Science. Recognizing he had an interest in politics and law early in his academic career, he was accepted into the prestigious Columbia Law School in New York City and graduated in 2005. Nadir spent almost 10 years practicing employment law in New York before moving to San Francisco in 2014 for a role at Facebook.

In 2018, Nadir transitioned to a Business Lead (chief-of-staff) role at Facebook, supporting the Ads and Business Products team-- the team that builds products to help businesses connect with the people who use their products. Nadir transitioned into the Business Lead role because he enjoys operations and ultimately felt that he could impact the most number of people in that role, such has: helping leaders on his team meet strategic goals; assisting small businesses find their audience using Facebook's products; and ensuring people have delightful experiences finding business and their products on Facebook's platform.

Despite his career successes, Nadir isn't all work and no play. In fact, he's passionate about cinema, particularly Oscar nominated films (he commits to watching almost all the films each year). This passion for cinema sparked Nadir's interest in Frameline, where he's been President of the Board since 2019. Nadir is also inspired by fashion, which he finds as a true form of self-expression and creativity. In his spare time, he loves finding newer designers to support on Facebook and Instagram. Finally, Nadir loves to cook. Pre-COVID, he hosted monthly dinner parties in the Bay to build community. He looks forward to bringing those dinners back when it's safe to do so. He even makes a wicked Old Fashioned, and is always on the hunt for interesting people to drink one with...is that person you?!?
