What a better time to stay active and connected to others via social media while supporting the animals at DAWS!
The Run for Animals is all about running or walking with (or without) your dog. Though it is different this year, please join us in making a difference for the animals at the shelter. Race at your own pace, in your own time. There is no set location or specific time/date for the Virtual 5K, this ensures that everyone can participate where and when ever than can!
Once you're registered, all that's left to do is complete your 5K (3.1 miles) between September 14th-30th. It's that easy! You can walk, run, swim, cycle or use any other method or terrain you prefer-you can even include your four-legged family members!
When you have completed your 5K send us your pictures to our Facebook page at Danbury Animal Welfare Society. We will be sharing your pictures on all of our social media accounts!
Included in registration is a t-shirt or a tank top for you and a race bandanna for all registered dogs. Race shirts can be picked up after the race at Byrd's Books at 178 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, CT 06801 starting on October 12th.
