Fish with Tom Jones, former Mille Lacs Large Lake specialist and current treaty coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Tom specializes in lead-core trolling, but other methods may be used as needed. You'll fish in comfort on a roomy 22-foot pontoon boat.
Mille Lacs is known for high catch rates of larger-than-average Walleye. Best fishing is usually in June and usually into the evening. Catch rates have been high in recent years (one to two per rod-hour).

Spend a day exploring Arizona's Sonoran Desert with AFS President/Past-President Scott Bonar.
I love hiking and will take you (or your group) to one or more of my favorite spots. Your pick: ancient archeology, ghost towns/historical sites, natural sites of great beauty and species diversity, or a combination. I know lots of secret spots off the beaten path and am enthusiastic about sharing the natural beauty and history of the Arizona desert. Will adjust the level of hiking to your choice.
Afterwards, we'll dine at a great Mexican restaurant to cap off the day. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some additional time in the area touring other sites on your own (I'm happy to provide recommendations).
Suncoast Youth Conservation Center Kayak Adventure in Apollo Beach, Florida!
Enjoy a paddle along the Noonan Branch Creek Paddling Trail. You will paddle through mangrove tunnels with swimming snook, over mudflats with soaring sting rays, and across sand bars where redfish scurry. Spot wading birds and ospreys searching for their next meal. This 2-hour-loop trail around the Florida Conservation and Technology Center in Apollo Beach is a perfect morning spent outdoors.
Join AFS Executive Director Doug Austen for a day on the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
We'll spend about 6 hours or so floating, fishing, wading, or jet-boating, depending upon your interests and the time of year. Fishing is for Smallmouth Bass with some nice Channel Catfish occasionally also caught. Smallmouth Bass in the Susquehanna are known for their jumping and fighting abilities, but even if the fish aren't biting, the river is beautiful and time on the water is always good. Doug will provide a wonderful lunch, beverages, kayaks, gear, and the jet boat (as desired).
