Club 200 Virtual Fundraising Event - What's different this year?
Questions and Answers (Q&A)

Why isn't Red Cross hosting its usual Club 200 fundraising event at a hotel?

  • Like all organizations, the Red Cross is working to ensure the safety of its volunteers, clients and donors. The CNMI government is in condition Blue, which prohibits large gatherings.

I usually pay $100 for a ticket which includes dinner, drinks and door prizes. What about this year?

  • This year our event will be completely online. Tickets will be $50 each and include the opportunity to win fantastic door prizes. We'll have over $30,000 in prizes that will be listed on the event website.

If I buy 3 or 4 tickets, will I have 3 or 4 chances to win a door prize?

  • Yes, every ticket transaction of $50 will be assigned a unique number that will allow you the opportunity to win a door prize.

I bought my tickets and got an email confirmation, but where is my ticket number(s) on my receipt?

  • The online platform will assign ticket numbers in the order that they were sold. Within 1 to 3 days after your purchase, you will receive an e-mail with your number(s).

When is the Red Cross announcing the winners of prizes?

  • Club 200 will have a live streaming event on Saturday December 19th. The stream will be available on the event website or through the Chapter Facebook page.

The storm season has been quiet in the NMI this year. Does Red Cross really need financial support?

  • The NMI Chapter and the entire Red Cross urgently needs support. Our humanitarian work relies on the generosity of the donors in the communities that we serve. The Red Cross recently spent over five million dollars locally responding to the needs of our families after Super Typhoon Yutu and Mankut. We stand ready to respond to disasters 24/7 throughout the Commonwealth and are working to improve our readiness through training and drills. Nationally we've been responding to countless Hurricanes on the East Coast as well as massive wildfires along the West coast.

During the past few months, what's the Red Cross been doing during the COVID-19 response?

  • Fortunately, thanks to community preparedness, we have not had a lot of COVID cases locally. We continue to work closely with CDC, HSS, CHCC and the NMI Government to ensure that our programs are meeting safe standards to ensure not putting volunteers or clients at unnecessary risk. Nationally we have been working closely with the FDA to help provide convalescent blood plasma to those with serious COVID illness. The American Red Cross provides all the blood products used at CHCC.
