Explore Africa, Topeka Zoo style! This package is good for 20 people. Start your evening around the campfire in Camp Cowabunga. Share stories and drink cocktails before setting off on a walking Safari. You and your group will venture across our Serengeti, meeting lions, patas monkeys, painted dogs, ostriches, elephants, hippos, and giraffes! Return to camp just in time for a safari-style dinner.

Start your morning off right here at the Topeka Zoo. Your party of 6 will begin the day at 8:00 AM in the location of your choice! See what happens early in the morning as the staff prepares the zoo for guests and tends to the animal's habitat. You may see various toys, scents, or food being set-out by our team in the patas monkey, lion, painted dog, and cougar areas. Listen to the rainforest birds come alive as they sing their choruses while you search for sloths at first light. Before the end of your breakfast, you will have the first glimpse as the animals explore.

Meet with one of the Animal Care Supervisor and choose between three animal encounters! Select three animals from the list to meet: elephants, giraffes, black bears, African painted dogs, Hoffmann's sloth, alligator, owl, skunk, hippo, or pronghorn. After the private tour, enjoy a catered lunch with the supervisor(s) and have the opportunity to ask any questions relating to our animals, their care, or about zookeeping!

Go behind-the-scenes to meet our African and Asian elephants, Cora and Tembo. Choose your colors and watch as Tembo creates a one-of-a-kind painting just for you, which will be a memory to last a lifetime! Enjoy visiting with the elephant care team and learn about elephants, their care, or zookeeping!

Join us for a summer day when we harvest honey from our very own beehives. We begin around 9 am on a weekday after the frames are pulled out of the hive boxes. Learn how the extraction process takes place; how you cut the honey off the comb and sneak a sample as you help bottle the golden delight into jars. You'll be one of the first to leave home with your very own 2021 sweet goodness!

This package also includes a bee house, a native bee guide, and a Topeka Zoo Honey bottle.

Grab your favorite pint glass and 19 of your friends and join us for a beer tasting at the Topeka Zoo! Adventure-Challenge programming is an adventure based and highly interactive workshop in which individuals within the group work together to improve communication, cooperation, problem solving, and goal setting as a team. This outdoor workshop will include hands-on, activity based events, sequenced to walk the group through a collection of challenges that engage all members of the group, while continually improving the group's overall team work abilities. This adventure would work well for any group or team that would like to conclude a workshop with improved team work, team skills, and leadership skills. Schedule your adventure to build a stronger team! Join us for a fun and exciting 2 hour event while enhancing your groups creative problem solving and team work. Maximum group size of 16, however 14 individuals are recommened.

The perfect behind-the-scenes experience for reptile lovers! Spend time with one of our reptile specialists, with visits and photo opportunities with 5 of our amazing reptiles, which could include American Alligators, African Ball Python, Columbian Red-tailed Boa, Argentine Black and White Tegu, and many more. Plus, chose one reptile from a list during your visit and our keeper will create an original work of art painted by our animals! During your encounter, ask our reptile specialist any questions about our animals, their care, or zookeeping.

Not that kind of spa, ladies! Have you ever wondered what a spa day is like for the Topeka Zoo elephants? Wonder no more! You and a guest will work side-by-side one of our elephant trainers assisting them with an elephant bath. Learn the personalities of both, hear stories, ask questions, all while you are working hard pampering the gals.

Zoo Snooze begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 8:30 a.m. the following day following a light breakfast, which will be provided!

Let us transform your classroom, library, retirement center, or organization meeting into an exotic encounter with our Zoo2U program. Zoo2U programs include a presentation, educational games, interaction with a live animal, and discussions related to a specific animal or zoo topic. This class must be held within Shawnee County.

Current restrictions due to Covid-19:

• Class size must stay within the Shawnee County Group Guidelines indoors.
• Zoo staff will stay within 6 feet of all guests.
