Guy Harvey discovered his love for art in 1985 when he created pen-and-ink drawings based on Ernest Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea". I commissioned this painting for Guy to portray the beauty and magnificence of these animals on their own without the predator-prey interaction. This Herb Booth original is so special it comes with "In the Sporting Tradition: The Art of Herb Booth" published by Texas A&M University Press. The book talks about Herb Booth's life and inspiration for his art. It has a list of almost all of Herb Booth's limited-edition prints, photos of some of his plates, an artist's proof, and an original piece. Herb Booth wedded his artistic skills with decades of experience as a naturalist and hunter. Today he is one of the best known and most sought-after painters of sporting and wildlife scenes in Texas. Steve was born in Tampa in 1959 and raised in Naples. As a boy my dad and I would often stop along the Tamiami Trail, break out the fly rods and catch Bass and Bluegill. Growing up fishing and hunting the Everglades was an interesting and unique part of my life that shaped a lifelong love of the outdoors. After school and returning from a four-year enlistment in the Navy, I went into the family plastering business with my dad. Every weekend I would still spend as much time outdoors as possible. In 1985 I decided to make a living from my experience as an outdoorsman and earned my Captains License. I guided clients around Naples and the Everglades for Snook, Redfish and Tarpon on weekends; while still working in the family construction business. I met my wife Lynn in 1985 and a year later we were married. I continued to work in the plastering trade and fished as much as possible. Our daughter Casey was born in 1986 and things were going well. Living and guiding in "The Glades" in the 80's was full of temptation and easy money. Marijuana smuggling was a fast buck that I should have had the good sense to stay away from, but I didn't, and in 1989 I was arrested by U.S. Customs for conspiracy to import marijuana. I plead guilty and was sentenced to 5 years federal time. It was while in prison that I first started to develop an interest in painting. After all, I had plenty of time. I was released on parole after 26 months and returned home to my wife and daughter. I went back to work, but continued to paint as much as possible. After a great deal of encouragement and support from my wife, family & friends, I applied to the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. I wanted to be a wildlife artist. In 1993 at age 35, and only a month after sending my application to Ringling, I fell two stories off a building while working on a job site and was out of the full-time construction business. I guess it really was time for a career change! While recuperating from the accident, I received an acceptance letter from the art school. We sold our home, quit our jobs, took our daughter Casey out of school and moved to Sarasota. I started school full time, Lynn found work and we purchased an older home. I started a plaster repair business to help make ends meet. We now had a new life and direction and were determined to make it work. I graduated from Ringling in 1998 earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree as an Illustrator. Since that time, I've focused on game fish and wildlife art. Around 2000 I started illustrating game fish and marine art on navigational charts. I work in a variety of mediums, but chose acrylic as my medium of choice due to the ability to use the fast-drying medium transparently, or more direct and opaque. It was an instant success. I had found my niche in the game fish market. While still in school I applied to the late Florida Governor Lawton Chiles for a Pardon in order to restore my voting rights. Once that was granted, I applied for a Presidential Pardon from the President of the United States. On December 11, 2007, five years after applying, I received a call from the United States Pardon Attorney, wishing me a "Merry Christmas on behalf of The President of the United States. I had been granted a full pardon by President George W. Bush. Our current corporate client list includes Bass Pro Shops, Coastal Conservation Association - Florida and Texas, Florida Game and Fish Commission, American Products Group, Tempress (Custom Cooler Seat Cushion designs), Tervis Tumber, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and The National Rifle Association. Private Commissions are always welcome. I specialize in custom boat and game fish illustrations.

John Yeackle, a watercolor artist, acquired a love for Florida's outdoors while growing up on a relatively unexplored Wekiva River. During a 10-year career as a microbiologist in Alabama he took up art as a hobby, then began to work full-time at it when he returned to Florida. Now living in Seminole County, Yeackle won three "Best of Show" awards in 1989. Price range for his prints is $55-$125, originals are valued up to $6,500 prior to his death in 2011. Amber M. Moran is a watercolor and ink artist residing in Hobe Sound, Florida, home to some of the most beautiful natural areas in the state. Amber is a watercolor and ink artist whose artistic style of "Thinking out of the box" creates a unique "window" and colorful take on the Florida lifestyle. She gains inspiration from the sights and sounds, including the beaches, canals and nearby fishing villages. In 2015 Amber was in the top five of the Next Bealls Florida Artist Competition and in 2016 she partnered with Bealls Florida and created numerous fine art designs for men and women's apparel, home goods and accessories. She has been published many times in the Marlin International Magazine and was the Billfish Foundation 2015 Featured Artist of the Year. She has been the featured poster artist for the juried ArtiGras Fine Art Festival, Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts, the Stuart ArtsFest and the 2020 Cedar Key, Old Florida Festival of the Arts. She has created designs for well-known sport fishing tournaments such as the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City, NC and the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic in Destin, FL. She has designed the Annual Martin County Lionfish Round-Up designs each year from the tournaments beginning 9 years ago. Amber's artwork hangs proudly on walls all over the United States and internationally. Amber's passion for coastal conservation not only enhances her art, but also encourages her and her husband's two Florida born boys to care for and protect our wildlife and marine environment.

Carey Chen's fascinating use of colors and his knack for capturing detail has catapulted him to the forefront of the marine art industry. The incredible blend of colors and exquisite detail are the trademark of each Carey Chen masterpiece. Although brilliance exudes from his work, painting is the latest endeavor in a life full of adventures.

Chen grew up with a special love for the ocean. Although his artistic abilities were apparent at an early age, Chen opted to pursue other hobbies including racing motorcycles and show cars. His spare time was spent fishing and diving off the coast of Miami and the Florida Keys.

Chen found time each year to return to his hometown of Jamaica fishing the annual Port Antonio Blue Marlin Tournament where he helped mate on several of the top sport fishing boats. In 1987,1988 and 1989 Chen fished on three different boats, helping bring home the first-place trophy each year. With over 300 blue marlin releases to date, Chen has captured the beauty of game fish in their natural habitat.

Fishing tournaments became Chen's new passion. He turned in his 20-foot Sea Craft for a 25-foot Mako and fished in several tournaments throughout South Florida. His reputation as an experienced and accomplished angler grew rapidly, and so did his visual memory.

The more he fished, the more he witnessed incredible, breathtaking moments at sea. Fierce battles with powerful creatures produced moments that became etched in Chen's mind.
