Bryan Prather is a St. Louis area native who graduated with a painting major from the Kansas City Art Institute. He lived and exhibited works in Las Vegas for 7 years, developing corporate identities and marketing. He is a freelance artist for hire, and is currently studying the art of tattooing. His lighthearted imagery typically conceals a sublime reality of our modern culture, often poking fun at the unconsciously foreign world that we have constructed for our species.

Doug Weaver is a fine art painter in oils, encaustic and egg tempera. He received his MFA from Fontbonne in 2013, served in the Peace Corps in Rwanda from 2013-2015, and now teaches as an adjunct instructor at SIBA.

Jasmine is a self taught artist with a background in science. Her art explores the emergent patterns found in natural growth, form, and collective systems. With elements of archetypal myth and a dash of futurism, her work seeks to create a language that crosses all barriers of time, space, and culture. Outside the studio, she works as the lead art facilitator at Artists First studio and as a professional coach working with groups and individuals to use the power of art and imagination for personal growth.

Nancy Rice Early is fascinated by the natural world and the play of light and shadow. She creates colorful abstract or semi abstract landscape scenes of places real and imagined.

She has been a creative spirit her whole life. Her father was an architect and wood worker and her mother grew up dancing. Nancy spent years studying realism and the human figure. She holds degrees in studio art and computer video imaging, graduating Summa cum laude. She balances her life as an artist with teaching art and as a web usability specialist. Her empathetic nature makes her feel deeply in her creative endeavors and those feelings show up in much of her art.

Her work has been shown and purchased at art fairs, galleries and museums in California and many Midwest states. She's won numerous awards and is in collections throughout the U.S., Ireland and Australia.

Bold, ethereal, rich in whimsicality, a nouveau artist with a modern queer sensual twist. These are just a few words to describe The Rusty Artist's work. Tiélere Cheatem (b. 1990) is a daring American artist whose vibrant and emotionally charged oil paintings showcase the beauty of expression through the male form. Cheatem's artistic career has quickly grown popularity, leaving a lasting impression across the United States, Canada, and the UK. A St. Louis native, and contributor to the theatre scene. Cheatem was awarded Best in Show with the Metro Trans Umbrella Group's (MTUG) art show and has had work appear in productions such as The St. Louis Actor's Studio's Predilections, Rebel & Misfits Productions' Macbeth: Come Like Shadows, Community Arts Festival Live at The Grandel, and Fly North's world premiere of The Gringo. Cheatem recently partnered with Painted Black STL an organization created to amplify black artists within the St. Louis area and ShakesFestSTL. My name is Aly and I am the artist behind YtterbergStudio. I am an abstract painter who lives in St. Louis with my husband and toddler. I am a full-time artist and full-time stay at home momma, so I guess the reality is that I am a nap-time and bed-time artist at this stage in life! My degree is actually in Sculpture (from WashU here in St. Louis) which I still dabble in every now and then, but my work currently focuses on abstracted landscape and nature paintings.

My current body of work focuses on abstract, minimalist landscapes. I break down images of nature into their simpler forms and colors in order to help us to see the world around us in a new light.

Eileen Cheong cultivates art that highlights how important it is that community, social change and creative expression be interwoven. Her studio practice includes the 9/11 memorial postcard project, Alphabet Media filmmaking, the Art Collective of Community Access New York, the Arts & Healthcare program at Barnes Jewish Hospital and upcoming collaborations with Community Arts Training alumni of the Regional Arts Commission.

She is an art therapist, photographer, civil rights activist, community organizer, yoga instructor and teaching artist. Eileen collaborates with local artists and has presented her work in the garden beside her 2nd floor studio located in the heart of Old North and Hyde Park neighborhoods, featuring the cascading architecture of pre-21st century St. Louis.

In 2016, Lauren graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education. She taught for four years in the St. Louis area in both traditional and nontraditional settings with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Lauren enjoys sharing her passion for art with young people. She will complete a Masters in Arts Management and Leadership at Webster University in December 2020.

Lauren is drawn to abstract art because it allows her to express herself more freely. Art is her main outlet for relieving stress and exploring thoughts and emotions. She doesn't plan much of anything before starting a painting, definitely creating in the moment. Her acquired sense of style incorporates bold colors, texture, and movement. She uses acrylics, acrylic mediums, and inks to create her paintings because of the flexibility that these give her style. The result is an unintentional body of work, created almost by accident. Because her intentions are never set in stone, people's perception of her work is not either.

Leslie Song is a visual artist living and working in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her BFA in painting and fibers from Truman State University in 2010 and her Master of Science in Textile Design from Thomas Jefferson University in 2013. My passion lies in creative ventures that bring cooperation and creativity together. In my own own work I enjoy playing with how contrasts in color and form compliment in unexpected ways. My interest for the urban and rural has found its way into my artwork with trees sharing the canvas with the city skylines using washes and bold abstract images of nature. My life pursuits reflect similar interests through exploring concepts of cooperation and living more sustainably. My appreciation for the natural world and of the urban landscape has moved me to develop a colorful visual language in which to explore a variety of creative outlets.

Without pretense I think art has function and expression that can offer ways to attribute value to home and family beyond the canvas. Connecting local artists to their community offers opportunities to reduce consumption of new things and help divest from impersonal commercial enterprises in meaningful ways. My interest as an artist is to facilitate and provide access to that for anyone, art is not just for galleries and collectors. Using visual language to help my clients express their vision and creativity provides opportunity for co-creation. I enjoy using paint processes to enhance the usefulness and beauty of spaces and I love the practice of using my experience and creativity to give new life to what exists while reflecting my clients vision. My intention is to find relevance in the world and connect people with artistry that provides personal meaning to you.

Zoe Nicholson is an artist and educator. Zoe works, researches, and plays with ideas involving liminal spaces through their work while exploring what it means to live in the in-between. Liminal spaces are interstitial transformative spaces. They are the in-between spaces where one is immersed in chaos yet, at the same time, full of potential. A liminal space is the marriage ceremony, a religious ritual, or a right of passage. Life is liminal.
The work illustrates the liminal space, with the accompanying transformation and growth of the individual using the grid as a metaphor. The underlying grid structure for each series is the same, yet each grid is different, which illustrates the essential underlying biology of each person while conveying individual identities.
Each piece is the result of continued research and, as a result, the series will evolve as a reflection of continued growth and learning.
Ultimately, their work conveys the hope, anxiety, potential of the human spirit and self.

In 2002 Jenna founded Artscope, then known as the South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children, and served as its first Executive Director. From Jenna's original vision, Artscope continues to thrive as an organization nearly 20 years later.
