I run because the work we do matters. It matters to the moms, the kids, the families and community we serve.

As someone who has lived similar experiences to those we serve, I know how much it means when people show up for you.

Every day we show up we reaffirm that what we do and who we serve matters.

I run for South Central LAMP to represent my awesome team who have dedicated their time to empower women and their children!

We are running in the LA Big 5K because we believe in South Central LAMP's mission and want to do our part to support the women and children of South Central Los Angeles.

I'm running to support SC LAMP because the organization has given me the opportunity for growth as a woman, a parent, and as an employee. I decided many years ago that I want to serve the community and the best way to do it is through SC LAMP. I'm happy for the opportunity and proud to still be doing it!

South Central LAMP provides a supportive, nurturing environment for economically poor women and their families. We do this by offering programs that empower women and their families reach their full potential, build self-esteem, utilize resources and strengthen mutual interdependent relations.

Our services include: Parenting Programs,
English as a Second Language (ESL),
Family Advocacy and Supportive Services,
Early Childhood Education Program and Weekly Food Pantry Services.

All contributions made to Team South Central LAMP help us continue to offer these and other essential services to our families free of charge.
