Have you ever wondered what is in the Center's Collection Room? This tour is a behind the scenes look of the collection storage area and the process in which the items are cataloged and readied for exhibit. At the end of each tour, guest will be able to sit and visit with Center staff and discuss museum operations/collections. This insta-buy will provide a set of four tickets for a future tour.
To redeem, the holder will need to contact our Curator, Briana Fiandt, to agree upon a date and time for the tour. Tour availability is subject to COVID-19 protocols in place at the time of booking. Each set of tickets is good through 12/31/2021.
The Heavy Metal Tour is a special guided tour which guests will learn detailed information on the M-60 tank and the P-38 Lighting airplane, in the context of Major Bong's first two confirmed claims. The tour features parts of the P-38 not available on the general admission tour, included the viewing of the inside of the cockpit.
To redeem, the holder should bring ticket vouchers to the Bong Center between June 5 to August 29, 2021 during regular hours to take a tour with our Bong Squadron students. The ticket voucher may also be redeemed at other parts of the year, dependent on weather, by contacting our Education Outreach Coordinator, John Gidley, to agree upon a date and time for the tour. Each set of tickets is good through 10/31/2021.
Riding in a Biplane is the most magical experience anyone can have in an aircraft. EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh is offering the chance to ride in their 1929 open cockpit biplane. Experience what it is like to take off and land on a grass runway and soar through the sky gracefully.
