Vetro Vero Glass

Michael Schunke is a firm believer in the value of practice and skill in glassmaking, concepts that are exemplified in his remarkable execution of hand-blown glass goblets. The refined nature of Schunke's signature contemporary stemware is a result of his design aesthetic combined with his unwavering dedication to technical practice.

Josie Gluck is an American designer and glassmaker. Her focus on the meaning of matter at the intersection of art, craft and design serves as a departure point for her interest in cultivating lasting relationships between objects and humanity.

Schunke and Gluck merged practices in 2011 and formed Vetro Vero to preserve traditional techniques and express creative innovation through obsessive excellence in design and craftsmanship. Together, Schunke and Gluck teach glassmaking workshops around the world and have been recognized as Guest Artists by the Glass Art Society and the Corning Museum of Glass.

Gravers Lane Gallery

Gravers Lane Gallery was founded in 2010 and is one division of The Goldenberg Group, which is comprised of three entities: Goldenberg Development, People Helping People Foundation, and Goldenberg Enterprises.

T.G.G. creates transformative change through active involvement in communities and meaningful partnerships. In 2012 long-time Philadelphia gallerist Bruce Hoffman joined the team as Director of Gravers Lane Gallery. Located in the historic Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Gravers Lane Gallery represents a diverse stable of regional, national and international artists spanning many generations, from emerging to lifetime award recipients. Engaging the surrounding community by creating a comfortable welcoming environment is very important in our exhibition practices.

Carol Klein

The piece entitled "Turbulence" was created in 2018. Using porcelain slip and glass fiber textile its surfaces are both fractured, twisted and deformed by enormous heat - a predictive commentary on our times.

As an associate at The Clay Studio, my early work in mold making and casting evolved from small, functional, translucent porcelain pieces to intricate, larger pieces. This work while functional, or not, has a novel composition. Using porcelain slip and glass fiber textile to create large vessels and panels, I am modeling unusual fractured and sculptural surfaces in my studio at 319 N 11th St, Philadelphia. My process is intuitive and I strive to discover new expression for these molten media.
