Siegfried Schreiber

German artist Siegfried Schreiber was a master wood turner and particularly enjoyed kinetics. He was born in 1928. Many of the pieces he made rocked, spun or turned at the slightest touch. He preferred clear and quilted maple and pear wood. During the summer of 2007 he participated in The Center for Art In Wood's Windgate ITE International Residency Program. Siegfried Schreiber passed away May 18, 2015. His legacy is preserved in the CAW's Museum Collection.

The Center for Art In Wood

Since its inception in 1986, The Center for Art in Wood, formerly the Wood Turning Center, has been widely recognized by artists, collectors, scholars and the public as one of the most valuable resources for the education, preservation and promotion of the field of art made from wood.
