"Washed Ashore" - The piece "Washed Ashore" brings the memory of seeing the sea for the first time while the sun starts to set. You look so small on a tiny beach compared to Gods creation. I love the sea it is not perfect, and it reminds you it is ok to make mistakes.

So I created something that I hope is an example to everyone. Because when you see the world falling apart, you are going to wish you never took it for granted. So love your world and never take it for granted.

Crayons. "For Hermione" - My best friend moved to England. Her favorite color is purple so I made a purple cloud so it represents her. The clouds are together, because I know we are somewhat together. (The pink cloud is me).

Markers. "Go with God" - I love to go on walks with my dog and on those walks I look around and see all of the wonderful things God made. I love to skateboard because it gets my energy out and it makes me happy. Shapes make me feel jumpy.

Graphite wax. "The World of Life" - My piece is the world of sea with growth and life. I used a pencil and colored pencils. I used bright colors to make the coral look more vibrant I put dull colors so that it shows that there is bad things in everything and good things deep down in the world of growth and life.

Pencil and oil pastel. "The Yankee Smear" - Not a lot of people like the Yankees around here, but I do. It proves it does not matter what other people thin it matters what you think. That is why I made the Yankee Smear.

Colored pencil and sharpie. "Outdoor Adventure" - I love the outdoors so my theme for my picture is outdoors. I have always wanted to go skiing. I also love animals I like to learn facts about them too. Lastly we usually go camping every year and I love that. I've wanted to have another vacation where we got to stay in cabins.

Sharpie and pencil. "Cherries as Berries" - Two beautiful cherries called Cherry and Berry just happened to grow on the same branch. Let's hope these two perfect, shiny and adorable cherries don't get plucked apart!

"My piece shows a snowboarder flying through the air and down the mountain. As snow flies everywhere, the snowboarder grabs his board. I chose to paint this because I love snowboarding, any time I go. I am not thrilled, but I feel at home."

This cereal in particular is titled "cereal," which is a reference to the common food cereal, which is ate during/as breakfast. The cats depicted are references to the common house hold pet, the cat. The cat on the right has the text "here have cereal", which is suggesting that it is giving the cat on the left cereal. The cat located on the left side of the art work has the text "thanks", which teaches children basic manners such as the word, "thanks."

There's a ribbon tying the flowers together with a 'to' and 'from' tag on it. This relates to the promt because you can give some body flowers to show that you love them.

"I chose to portray the theme through a mixed media piece of my front door. No matter where I go or how old I get, I will always be able to see this image and remember my home in New England and the memories I experienced as I grew up here."

I like to think of this piece as on for the looker to interpret. In general, I see this art portraying racial equality intertwined with love. A well-known phrase know by Christians all ove the world is "love your neighbor." this Spirit of love was with the apostles when they preached to the Gentiles, so that those who were not Jewish would have a chance to be know Christ and have eternal life. This Spirit of love was with the abolitionists who fought hard to end slavery. And of course, this Spirit of love was best represented when one man, Jesus Christ, died on a cross, so that life would be given to all people who believed, o matter their shape, color, size, or background. And we as Christian Understand that "we love because he first loved us,? no matter the difference we have with others. This is where I like to look at the colors inside the heart. For me, I see the different ways to love. Orange represents giving, green represents sharing, yellow represents doing something for someone , and so on. There are so many different ways to be loving! To dive deeper, all these colors intertwine with each other randomly, but the big picture shows a lovely heart. Likewise, small acts of love may be random at first, but when they build up overtime, those many acts come together to make one impactful person full of a loving heart. This is my interpretation, but I would love for the look to interprets this piece for themselves as it may mean something greater to them. Each person has their own unique story, and I hope they can resonate with my artwork in their own unique way.

Acrylic, 9 in x 12 in (22.9cm x 30.5cm) "Holding Hands" - My thought of loving, caring and giving is about holding hands. So I drew two people holding hands together using acrylic method because holding hand means you are giving care to a person, you care about them and want all the best to them. It expresses you loving and caring in this way. I remember when I was having a difficult time with my school, my teacher holds my hands and pray with me, and that is why I thought of this idea, it was touching my heart in a way to me too.

Charcoal. 12"x8.5". "Comforting Silence" - This piece represents love & caring because the dog is being there for the girl who is alone & crying. This meaning means a lot to me because I adore how loving dogs can be. Even when I'm going through hard times, I know my dog will always try to cheer me up. The title of my piece is called Comforting Silence because the dark values represent loneliness & silence, & the dog is comforting the girl.

Acrylic Color. A4. "Home" - I drew Chinese map and Americans map with national elements near them. They are two homes of me. It is a hope for great relationship between two countries. And I drew two hearts. The white one is where my family live, and the red one is where I am now in NH. This means my family and I related tightly even though we are in different countries.

Acrylic Paint. 9 in x 12 in. "Christ's Love" - I chose to paint a cross and a heart because it made me think of the theme which is "Share your HeART: Giving, Caring, Sharing." I painted a cross because it reminded me of sharing and how you can share God's Word. I also painted a heart because it made me think of the theme.

Acrylic. 12.25" x 9". "Different Soil, Same Gift" - I chose to depict delicate houseplants resting on a windowsill while an awful storm ravaged the trees outside. I feel that nature often gives more to us than we do to it. I wanted not only to showcase the quiet grace and gentle compassion of a houseplant, but also the humble strength and firm faith of a wild tree. Both, while differing in their environments and necessary resources, need only water, good soil, and some sun to provide us with clean air and timeless aesthetic.

Acrylic 12.25 x 9in. "Give Me A Call" - The scene depicted is two friends giving each other time and a space to be listened to (on a tin-can telephone, of course). When we think of giving, we think of physical presents, but I wanted to show what it looks like to give something intangible by giving others our time and attention (no matter what the hour) we make them feel valued.

Acrylic Paint 9x12. "Sunday Afternoon" - This piece displays an elegant women journaling on a simple Sunday afternoon. She sits surrounded by flowers and fresh fruit, sharing her thoughts and feelings with the journal on her lap.

"The Breath of Life" - When I think of the theme share your heart, the first thing that comes to mind is the only one who can truly live up to these character traits, our Lord and Savior. Not only did he create this world we live in and breath his wonderful life into it, he cared enough to die for his creation and that is the ultimate act of love and heard, and for that act we are eternally grateful.

Acrylic, 9x11. "Dinner at the Diner" - To demonstrate the theme "Giving, Caring, Sharing," I decided to create a heartwarming piece of a grandpa and a grandson sharing a meal at an old little diner. I worked hard to portray the peaceful feelings of love through the characters' eyes, and to display quality time among family. I hope you enjoy!

Felt, Embroidery and Buttons Auction Art - March 20, 2021

While I've always been a fiber artist, felting is a new skill I picked up during the pandemic, thanks to a felting class in Exeter and Riverslea Farm in Epping. I love the soft texture and way wool holds color. Wool can be left as organic nebulous masses or poked down into a tight, defined shape. It's both 2-D and 3-D, forgiving and comforting (as long as you don't poke yourself!). Working with such a natural fiber is cathartic. I plan on having some of my art students try it out this spring.

For this particular piece, I wanted this heart to be accessible to touch - not behind glass - that it would be vulnerable and available for the owner to not just see but also to feel. The colors signify different layers of emotion that we can feel all at once - happy that I can be with my friends and family, yet deeply concerned for the ones who are in hospitals and dying without loved ones nearby, and deep joy and trust that remains rooted in the One who is Love.

I dedicate this work to all who have cared for the vulnerable during the pandemic - not just physically, but also emotionally. The most important question we can ask each other in times like these is "How are you feeling?" Not just "Do you have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste and smell?" but "How is your heart and mind and soul handling today?" We can't assume we know, and we can't tell people how to feel. I've always felt that a listening ear is one of the best gifts we can give each other. We can ask, "How are you feeling today?" and then just listen.

The old, random buttons from my sewing drawer surprised me with joy. Some of these came from clothes I used to wear a long time ago but gave away. Some came from my mother or grandmother as tiny hand-me-downs. All of them represent lost memories of forgotten treasured garments, yet they remain as sweet little reminders of days gone by.

Oil on velvet. 18 1/2"x15 1/2". Theorem Painting is the art of making stencils and using them to make paintings on fabric (traditionally velvet). The work is then framed or matted. The stencils are multiple overlays and designs are always three-dimensional.

Nature is my happy place! In the silent beauty of creation, God reveals Himself and revives my heart. My heart responds, giving Him glory. One winter day as I was playing a round of disc golf in The Squamanagonic woods, the reflection in this stream of water took my breath away, I saw majestic sky and trees melting into rippling water and hidden scenes below its surface. I found myself immersed in a timeless moment fully alive and fully aware of God's glorious presence.
