Ten guests will enjoy a VIP tour and private chef prepared exquisite meal with wine pairings from Keenan Winery among the dazzling collection of the Academy of Art University's Automobile Museum.

The Academy of Art University Automobile Museum presents a tantalizing glimpse into the history of the art and design of automobiles. Displaying cars from this expansive collection, among them classics from Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Jaguar, Packard, Duesenberg and Cadillac, the museum preserves an integral piece of international automotive culture.

Here is a peek at a few of the top cars from the collection:

1933 Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow

In 1933, Pierce-Arrow unveiled a radically new streamlined sedan named the Silver Arrow at the New York Auto Show. Priced at $10,000, it was announced with the slogan "Suddenly, it's 1940!" Indeed, Pierce-Arrow stylist Phil Wright relied on his own skills and intuition to cheat the wind, but also subjected his design to extensive wind tunnel testing. The result was an overall shape that mimics a tear-drop, featuring a steeply angled grill, flush front fenders and concealed side mounted spare tires flowing smoothly into a tapered rear body section. Only 5 were constructed and 3 remain. Despite all efforts, Pierce-Arrow closed its doors in 1938.

1930 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Sedan

It is a grand testament to the Duesenberg Model J that anything extraordinary is still called a "doozie" and its effect on the automotive world can't be overstated. All Model J's were custom bodied. This example was built new with Murphy Convertible Sedan coachwork in Pasadena, California and sent to New York as a demonstrator. It was later returned to Los Angeles and found a new owner. His name was Cedric Gibbons, an MGM art director and set designer who was married to film star Dolores del Rio.

1937 Delage D8 120 Drop Head Coupe

Not long after Delahaye bought out the Delage company in 1935, it released the fabulous D8 120 series. This exceedingly rare example is one of only 12 Henri Chapron Drop Head Coupes produced. A leader in French automotive styling, Chapron was noted for subtle elegance rather than the flamboyant. This car was purportedly purchased new in France by an actress. It survived WWII and made its way into the hands of a member of the Louis Vuitton family.
