Welcome to the 2020 Ray of Hope Suicide Awareness and Prevention Walk
The Online Auction is open! It will remain until September 12th at 5:00 p.m. Large items such as baskets in the online auction will be local pick-up only.
In past years the walk has been held at Twin Lakes Park, however, this year things are a little different. You may have noticed that lots of events are going virtual and in light of the events going on in society, we decided that it was best for us to do the same. While things may look a little different, the goal is still the same -- to bring awareness to the suicide crisis and to remember those who have been lost.
We encourage you to register for the walk so that you can take part in all of the activities taking place that day including the virtual loss survivors event, reading of the names lost to suicide, stories of hope, and a silent auction. Registration closes September 10th at 4:00 p.m.
Participation is FREE. If you choose, you may walk on your own, either following the ceremony, or at any time and place of your choosing. We encourage everyone to get involved by posting pictures of loved ones, of themselves and their stories, or of you completing the walk on the Ray of Hope Facebook page with the hashtag #StillShining2020.
Those who register will receive a link to attend the virtual event on Zoom, following the close of registration, and have the option to participate in the online auction. The event will also be Live on Facebook for anyone to watch--no registration required.

Note: The 3.6% service fee charged on all purchases will be covered by the Ray of Hope, however, if you would like to make a donation in the form of covering the service fee on your purchases for us it would be greatly appreciated!

Survivors Event 10:00-10:45. If you have lost a loved one to suicide, or just wish to listen in, please join us on Zoom for a discussion led by Sam Lonich. All who register for the walk will also have the option to take part in the survivor's event by joining the Zoom meeting at 10:00. Prior to the event all who register will receive a link to join the Zoom webinar, which will begin at 10:00 and continue until the walk ceremony is complete.
The Walk Ceremony will begin at 11:00 and will include reading the names of those lost to suicide. If you wish to have a name or names read, you will be given an opportunity to submit that information as you register.
