Conversation between President LaKeesha Walrond, Tom Webber, and Julio Medina

New York Theological Seminary had originally planned to celebrate what would have been Bill Webber's 100th Birthday at a gala but in light of the pandemic we have put together this virtual fundraiser celebration in the hopes that we will soon be able to gather in person.

Bill Webber

In 1981 Bill Webber received an honorary doctorate from Yale University where he was honored as a "Scholar, teacher, author, pastor, and prophet for the cause of justice." This is a celebration of the generation of prophets for the cause of justice who grew out of Bill Webber's ministry at New York Theological Seminary.

Among his enduring legacies is the Master of Professional Studies he started at Sing Sing Correctional Facilities in 1982. It was a visionary program that sought to bring graduate theological education to incarcerated men. Over 500 men have graduated from this program. Many have established prophetic ministries of their own. Alumni such as Julio Medina with Exodus Transitional Community and Sean Pica at HudsonLink are now leading prophetic ministries that serve thousands of individuals yearly.

All this is possible because of supporters like you. Friends who have a passion for justice and a genuine concern for the marginalized. Please consider giving to support our effort in raising more Prophets for the Cause of Justice our world so desperately needs.
