Since the COVID-19 outbreak, ParentChild+ has sprung into action to support thousands of young, low-income families most impacted by it.
ParentChild+ has now adapted their in-home, school readiness program to help families access critical needs, such as food and diapers, and to provide the program virtually, so families can continue to experience the peace and joy of reading, talking and playing with their young children.
For these families, virtual visits go well beyond any direct connection to school success: it is a bridge to the world.
Today, ParentChild+ works with over 9,000 families struggling to survive this crisis. As low-income and communities of color continue to be impacted at an accelerating rate, the number of ParentChild+ families is only getting bigger.
Though no one knows how long the emergency will last, the ripple effects of COVID-19 will last much longer than the virus for low-income families with young children.
That's where you come in. The money we raise will provide immediate support for the ParentChild+ program, and enable us to meet the needs of the growing number of low-income families who need support now more than ever.
