"Don't Give Up" is the creation of Alyssa, age 9. Alyssa is very loving and thoughtful of others. She loves to sing and listen to music. She is always trying to make the kid sitting alone feel like they have a friend.

"Daybreak Marsh" is an acrylic painting on an 8x10 canvas by Savannah, age 11 from Wilmington, NC. In addition to creating art, Savannah enjoys ballet, surfing and swimming as well as playing the cello.

This artwork by Jerome, age 11 of Gibsonville, NC, is sure to make the day of anyone on the front lines battling Covid-19! Jerome's mother shared with us he wanted to do this painting to show his appreciation to the doctors and nurses who saved his life. She tells us they recently almost lost Jerome to non-Covid related complications. Jerome loves arts and crafts, playing with toys, doing toy reviews, and spending time with his family. His favorite tv shows are about fashion and the "Stranger Things" series. Jerome also loves scary movies.

This delightful painting by Zionna, age 15 from Wilmington, NC, is on a 36 x 24 canvas. Zionna loves to draw, paint and write music.

"FisherTube" is a creative self-portrait by Fisher, age 8, of Supply, NC. Fisher used recycled materials to make his art, as well as a photograph that is found inside the tv screen he constructed.

"Making Purple" is the fingerpaint creation of Eleanor, age 2, from Greenville, NC. The masterpiece is on a 12x12 stretched canvas on a wood frame. Ellie's mom says her little artist was inspired by the Frozen 2 soundtrack as she was listening to it while painting this piece. Eleanor loves the outdoors and anything music!

"Little Hands at Work" is a finger painting by Eleanor, age 2, from Greenville, NC. Ellie's art was inspired by the Pocahontas soundtrack and is on an 8x10 canvas. Eleanor's mom says she is a spirited girl who doesn't mind making huge messes while making abstract paintings!

"Live" is the artwork of Kyler, age 12. She is a 6th grade student at New Bridge Middle School in Jacksonville, NC. Kyler loves art and painting.

"Flower Overlook" is the beautiful submission of Tatiana, age 10, of Chapel Hill, NC. This 11x14 piece was done in multimedia (acrylic paint and paper). Tati's interests, beside her art, including reading, social justice and riding her bike at breakneck speed!

This piece of pottery is the work of Dominic, age 12, of Leland, NC. The color is brown, with hints of mustard yellow. Dominic made this piece at the Leland Cultural Arts Center.

"Coastal Sunset" is a loom weaving by Junie, age 10. The weaving measures 7" x 4" with loops for hanging. Junie is a student at Alderman Elementary in Wilmington, NC. Junie loves reading, baking and creating all types of art. She taught herself how to weave on a loom and she's been having fun experimenting with it during all this time at home due to the pandemic.

"Golden Hour" is a masterpiece by Emma, age 14, of Chapel Hill, NC. This acrylic painting is on a 4" x 6" canvas.

"Dublin Door" is the work of Maclain, age 10, of Chicago, IL. Maclain loves painting, bike riding and swimming.

"Grinning and Picking" is the delightful work of Brenna, age 16, of Wilmington, NC. It is an acrylic painting on 8 x 10 stretched canvas. Grinning and Picking just happen to be the names of the dogs represented in the painting! Brenna loves the beach, her animals and sports, she is a faithful Tar Heel and Saints fan. "Within The Circles" is the artwork of Hanna, age 16, of Wilmington, NC. Hanna created her art with pen and sharpie. It is black and white on 8 x 11 card stock and presented in a 10 x 13 wooden frame. Hanna is a rising junior at Laney High School. She maintained all A's this year in honors classes. Hanna loves reading and has read 115 books so far this year. She plans to pursue a degree as a Physician's Assistant. She likes to sing and loves her animals. "Leaves in the Wind" is a beautiful acrylic painting by Erin, age 14, of Jacksonville, NC. The canvas measures 18" x 24". Erin is home schooled. She loves her English bulldog and riding horses.

"Be Happy" was created on an 11x14 canvas with acrylic paint. The artist is Emma. She is 11 years old and from Burgaw, NC. When Emma is not home playing with her dog, Mindy, she can be found at the barn riding horses!

"Reflections of Elle 2020" was created by Elle, age 10, of Durham, NC. Elle created her art using an iPad app, Tayasui Sketches Pro, on canvas "paper" using the following tools: airbrush, watercolor, pen brush, and rotring.

"Color Island" is the work of Everett, age 7. His art was created using sharpie and watercolor crayon on a 6" x 8" canvas. Everett's hobbies are playing Minecraft, chess, and Uno. He enjoys making art and "drawing figments of my imagination." When he grows up he wants to be President!

"Hawaii" is the creation of Susannah, age 9. It is a mixed media piece on 6" x 8" canvas. Susannah loves animals and would like to be a vet when she grows up. She chose to draw about Hawaii because she thinks it is "a beautiful and majestic place." She hopes to go to Hawaii someday because "it would be a good place to relax."
