ANTIQUE ANDIRONS IN THE FORM OF GOLF BAGS AND CLUBS - EXCEPTIONALLY RARE
When your friends see these in your fireplace, they will ask " Was your grandfather a member of LA Country Club?"
American, cast iron, circa 1910. Unique, one of a kind, probably custom made for a wealthy golfer with a large fireplace, or a country club with same.
These andirons have remarkable detail. At the center of each you see applied metal plates that look like flap pockets with tied down buckles and straps. All four pockets and straps have simulated stitching. Protruding from the top of each bag, and also made of iron, are two drivers and two irons.
