Frank Vega is a Chicago based artist born in Ecuador. He is currently working on his MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). In 2018 he received his BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Vega works with forms and characters that arrive in new representations deriving from the familiar and the imaginary. Vega uses symbiotic processes that introduce a degree of improvisation to his paintings and sculptures.
