The Louisiana Pediatric Cardiology Foundation (LPCF) is a 501(c)(3) public charity that awards grants to families in Louisiana to help ease the financial burden of out-of-pocket expenses when their children are undergoing life-saving heart surgeries. In addition, LPCF provides FREE heart screens in an effort to detect various cardiac abnormalities in high school athletes, namely, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes.
