How does the silent auction work?

We will be using mobile bidding the week of the virtual gala for our auction. You will be able to use your smartphone, tablet or computer to keep up with the status of your bids and continue bidding until the auction closes. The silent auction will start on Monday, November 2nd at noon, and will close on Saturday, November 7th at 9pm.

How does the live auction work?

The live auction will be open  on Friday, November 6th at 4pm and will close during the live broadcast of the virtual event on Saturday, November 7th starting at 7pm. You will be able to preview the items in advance of that date and determine your bids. Live Auction lots will be grouped into rounds and each round will open and close at a certain time during the Live Auction portion of the broadcast.

What do I need to do first to participate in the Live and Silent Auction?

Make sure you are registered for the virtual event by hitting the "Register Now" button near the top of the home page. Enter your name, phone number, email and credit card. A credit card is required to bid which will be securely stored and will not be charged unless you are the winning bidder. 

How do I start and continue my bidding?

Browse the Live and Silent Auction and start bidding on your favorite items! Place your bid on selected items, set a maximum bid if desired, and the platform will continue to keep you in the running until you reach your maximum bid. 

How can I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item?

You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. If you are NOT receiving the text messages make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. When the silent and live auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you won any items.

How will I collect my winnings?

Once your payment has been received, the John Muir Health Foundation will contact you to make arrangements to collect your winnings. Below are our general auction redemption rules, but please take note of any special restrictions noted in the auction item description. 

For most auction items, we will be available during the following scheduled pick-up days at our offices located at 1400 Treat Boulevard, Walnut, Creek, CA:

  • Tuesday, November 10th from 10am to 2pm
  • Wednesday, November 11th from 10am to 2pm
  • Thursday, November 12th from 10am to 2pm

If you are not available to pick-up during these times, please contact us at to coordinate another pick-up date. 

If we are able to provide your auction item electronically, you will receive the winning item by the email provided in your profile.

Legal ID will be required to redeem auction lots. For auction lots involving alcohol, you will be required to show proof of legal age for pickup.
