Sense of Place Auction

The Sense of Place Exhibition & Auction is a carefully curated, annual exhibition featuring work by island artists and artisans inspired by, or iconically associated with Nantucket's unique "sense of place."

The auction will run entirely online from 4pm on July 31st to 8pm on August 9th! The Sense of Place Exhibition is available for in-person viewing by appointment at Historic Sherburne Hall (11 Centre Street). If you are the winning bidder on an auction item, we will reach out to you to coordinate in-person item pick up or shipping (at an additional cost). If you have purchased an item that is in the form of a gift certificate, we will email an electronic version and follow up with a hard copy via regular mail.

This year, more than twenty artists and artisans have donated their work in support of the Nantucket Preservation Trust. The auction is part of the 2020 August Fête: There's No Place Like Home, taking place online at 7pm on August 6th.  Buy your Fête tickets here!
