AUCTION FAQs

AUCTION REGISTRATION & PARTICIPATION

We will be using mobile bidding from August 13- 20th for our virtual auction. You will be able to use your smartphone/tablet to keep up with the status of your bids and continue bidding until the auction closes.  You must be registered to participate. To Register just click the REGISTER button above. If you participated in our event last year, you are already registered and just need to log in.  If you have any problems getting registered or using the site, please contact us at [email protected] with any issues. 

Throughout the week leading up to the event, we'll be sending updates and more detailed information via email, but once the event begins, all registered users will get text updates throughout the event. If you aren't receiving any of the communications, email us! Please also check back here and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updated information..

AUCTION ITEMS

Silent auction items go live Thursday August 13th at 12:00 p.m until Thursday August 20th at 8 p.m. Click the Items tab above to start browsing and get excited for all the fantastic items.  We will be releasing more and more items, so keep checking back!

START BIDDING
You'll receive an email and text message on Thursday August, 13th when we open the auction, and can start your bidding! Browse the Silent Auction and start bidding on your favorite items! Place your bid on selected items, and set a maximum bid if desired, and Givesmart will continue to keep you in the running until you reach your maximum. You will receive text messages throughout the week letting you know the progress of items you're bidding on and other pertinent information. 

KEEP ACTIVE
You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. Keep an eye on your favorite items! If you are NOT receiving the text messages make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. The texts will continue to notify you when you have been out bid or reached your maximum bid. When the silent auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you won any items!

FOR EASIER BIDDING
Set a maximum bid. The auction software will automatically raise your bid by a predetermined increment until your maximum bid has been met or the silent auction ends.

COLLECT YOUR WINNINGS

Auction winners are required to make payment the final night of the event, August 20th. Please note that you will have the choice to either pay credit card fees yourself or allocate them to CTREE.
Please plan to pick up your items at CTREE Barn in  or arrange for shipping/ delivery. **Please note: Some items (as indicated in the item description) are not available for shipment. These items may be picked up at the CTREE barn or delivered within the delivery area, NYC to Montauk only. Please bid accordingly.**

*All bids are final and binding. There will be no exchanges, alterations or refunds on items. Gift certificates cannot be exchanged for cash. All items are "as is". Please note any restrictions stipulated by the prize donor. CTREE is not responsible or liable for any discrepancies. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of values for tax purposes.
