Complete with all the typical vacation activities--antiquing, beachcombing, lakeside dining, wineries, et al--Harbor Country fosters the easiest getaway. Ten minutes from New Buffalo for its restaurants, shopping and beaches and 10 minutes from Warren Dunes. And on the way home, stop by Michigan City for their outlet mall.

A multi-million dollar casino plopped in the wilderness outside a town of 2,200? It sounds a lot worse than it is. And it looks even better. Top-notch restaurants, luxury hotel suites, and gambling to boot--it's worth a stop.

ORCHARDS & CORN MAZES
There are enough U-pick farms in this county to dirty your hands year-round. But when wading through bramble for blueberries isn't on the agenda, visit the local corn mazes, pumpkin patches in the fall plus a plethora of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and flowers, plus cheeses and meats at the local butcher shops and farmer's markets.
