This beautiful collection of butterflies were each uniquely painted by Ms. Flores's kindergarten students using spin-art. For most, it was their first experience using spin-art and the expressions on their faces when they added the paint was priceless. "California palms" is a large 48 x 48 original oil painting by Sacramento artist, Tim Collom. It is a significant piece from his California series that Tim has painted because he collaborated with Mrs. Arbogast's first grade class at Mariemont. His last auction piece three weeks ago went for 11k! Recently his art grabbed national attention with his fundraising this past year for the town of Paradise during its tragic fires. Tim raised $150,000 selling thousands of prints to help firefighters and victims of the Paradise fire. Tim Collom was recently noted by the Sacramento Bee as "A local art phenom" and has been awarded the Best In Show in the KVIE art auction out of 700 Californian artists. The Ritz Carlton, lululemon, Johnson and Johnson, and The California Rice commission are his latest corporate partners. Look for his latest gallery at the Sacramento International airport which is one of the only ones of its kind. Collom's art has doubled in the last few years as he sells out consistently and currently shows in Carmel, The Bay Area, and in Sacramento.

The students of this fourth grade class have created beautiful wine barrel stave candle holders which include votive holders and battery powered candles.
