Join us to elevate the profile of Alzheimer's and its devastating toll on families and raise funds for cutting edge research and critical support services for individuals, families and caregivers.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Given the evolving nature of COVID-19 and based on the guidance from the CDC, local and state health departments serving the National Capital Area, as well as guidance from our venue, we have made the difficult but responsible decision to reschedule our Brain Ball Gala to Friday, April 30, 2021. We are looking forward to continuing our much-loved tradition of gathering in celebration of the Alzheimer's Association's important work.

We want to thank our 2020 Brain Ball Gala Co-Chairs, Peter Larkin, Jim Menard, and David Schless, for their tireless efforts preparing for a memorable evening, as well as our incredible honorees, Jordan Smyth, Connie Tipton, and Rose and Bob Cohen. We are deeply indebted to our co-chairs for their months of work and dedication to the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter.

On behalf of our co-chairs and our staff, we want to again thank all of those who have already contributed or made a commitment to support this year's event. We will honor your very generous donations at our gala in 2021. Your investment in our mission means more now than ever.

It is our hope that if you were planning to support or attend this year's gala, you will consider making the same fully tax-deductible donation to help us to stay strong during these unprecedented circumstances. We know that so many of you have made the gala an event you support and enjoy each year. We sincerely appreciate your donation, which will ensure that we can continue to advance our mission as we lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy during this time. We truly appreciate your contributions and your relentless dedication to our cause. We look forward to the opportunity to gather as a community soon to advance our mission and realize our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

ABOUT THE BRAIN BALL

The Alzheimer's Association Brain Ball brings together influential and respected corporate, civic and philanthropic leaders to lead the fight against Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The Brain Ball was launched in 2014 by the Alzheimer's Association and founding chairs Liz and Tom Donohue to elevate the profile of Alzheimer's and its devastating toll on America's families and caregivers facing the daily challenges of the nation's sixth-leading cause of death. Since its inception, the Brain Ball has honored leaders in the fight to end Alzheimer's and raised nearly $8.5 million to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

ABOUT THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. For more than 35 years, we have provided reliable information, education and support for people with dementia and their families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced changes in public policy. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
