Support the Brain Ball

Join us to elevate the profile of Alzheimer's and its devastating toll on families and raise funds for cutting edge research and critical support services for individuals, families and caregivers.

The health and safety of our constituents, volunteers and staff remain our driver as we address the COVID-19 outbreak and continue to pursue our mission, today and in the longer term.

Given the evolving nature of COVID-19 and based on the guidance from the CDC, local and state health departments serving the National Capital Area Region, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Brain Ball Gala originally scheduled for Friday, May 1.

This is a disappointing decision for everyone involved, but the hard work and support of our Brain Ball Committee, Honorees, donors, and sponsors is greatly appreciated and recognized.

Importantly, we are already looking at a new date for the Brain Ball and will share the new date as soon as possible.

As always, the Alzheimer's Association is available 24/7 for support. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call our Helpline at 1.800.272.3900 or go to alz.org.

We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy during this time. We truly appreciate all of your many contributions, your resilience in these challenging days and your relentless dedication to our cause. We look forward to the opportunity to gather as a community soon to advance our mission and realize our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Please reach out to directly at Hilary Murray at himurray@alz.org or 434.249.8500 or to Rebecca Caldwell at recaldwell@alz.org with any questions.

The Alzheimer's Association Brain Ball brings together influential and respected corporate, civic and philanthropic leaders to lead the fight against Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The Brain Ball was launched in 2014 by the Alzheimer's Association and founding chairs Liz and Tom Donohue to elevate the profile of Alzheimer's and its devastating toll on America's families and caregivers facing the daily challenges of the nation's sixth-leading cause of death. Since its inception, the Brain Ball has honored leaders in the fight to end Alzheimer's and raised nearly $8.5 million to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. For more than 35 years, we have provided reliable information, education and support for people with dementia and their families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced changes in public policy. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
