The funds raised from this year's Spring for Abilis Virtual gala will be restricted to new initiatives within Abilis and to replenish and invigorate the lives of the over 700 individuals with special needs and their families from birth through their lifespan within lower Fairfield County, an area hit especially hard by COVID-19

Abilis is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides services and supports for over 700 individuals with special needs and their families from birth through the life span. Abilis has been a leader in serving the special needs community in lower Fairfield County for 68 years and has a long-standing reputation for high quality care. Abilis is a lifespan provider beginning with supports through our Therapeutic Services, Abilis provides Birth-to-Three early intervention and customized therapies, as well as family education and advocacy to help young children achieve important developmental milestones. Our Life Services programs supports individuals with disabilities throughout their adult lives. Our goal is to help individuals build the skills they need to achieve their personal goals. Through our social activities, meaningful employment program, and high quality residential services, doors are opened and lives are changed.

Abilis provides people with developmental disabilities and their families in lower Fairfield County with supports and advocacy for building able lives and strong communities.

Abilis will set the standard of excellence for person-centered services through innovation, teamwork and respect for the people we serve. Together, we will shape communities in which people of all abilities participate and contribute as equal citizens.

Abilis believes that all people deserve to live, learn, work and enjoy life based upon their personal preferences. Each person's own strengths and dreams for the future deserve acknowledgment and respect. All people deserve access to resources, opportunities and skills that enhance their ability to self-advocate effectively.
