Sommelier Blackjack: Learn how to "count cards" and beat the house when dining at a restaurant. Whether a novice or an expert, guests will learn how to find the hidden deals and gems in wine lists and learn what wines and grapes to avoid at your next business meeting, date, or social dinner.
The class, held for 8 to 10 people at Calissa, includes prizes, Q&A and insider insight about how restaurants select and mark up wine and how to use that knowledge to buy better wine at a lower price. It is lead by managing partner and former stand-up comedian James Mallios.
Scheduling
Off-season: scheduled in advances but generally offered on weekends.
In-season: preferred days are Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Blackout dates: Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day weekends. Other dates based on availability.
Timing and reservations subject o a la carte and private dining reservations. The talk starts between 5:30 and 6:30 pm.

"Yes and..." Improv Camp at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor.
Does your kid like Improv games? In this new camp, learn about what makes these Improv games so fun and how the world of Improv relates to the world of Theater! Students will work with a teaching artist as they experiment with different forms of improvisation and use their imagination to create their very own exercises. The camp will culminate in an Improv show for family and friends to attend. Ages 7-9.
This camp for kids ages 7 to 9 meets daily from July 20 to July 24, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Instructor
Suzanne Clifton Walsh is a Theatre Specialist.
After studying Acting at Eugene O'Neill National Theatre Institute & Connecticut College, she transferred to NYU where she graduated with a BA & MA in Educational Theatre.
She has taught drama and public speaking to students of all ages. She has also directed numerous musicals and plays. Her 40 year teaching career in New York City included the founding of a very popular summer multi-arts program called CREATIVE ARTS. Supervising a staff of 50 artists and an enrollment of about 200 children, Suzanne also instituted a Guest Artist program for the campers. Renowned actors, musicians, athletes and costume designers visited the camp and shared their experiences at daily Noontime Shows!
