Main Violin donated this beautiful violin, case and bow to The Elisabeth Morrow School's 90th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser!

This violin is hand carved, made of solid wood which is maple and spruce with good quality and Ebony fitting set and Evah Pirazzi string set. It was made in 2019.

The bow is a wooden one with horsehair and comes with a Pedi Violin case.

The violin and case have $1,500.00 value and $250.00, respectively.

This package also includes a free tuition to The Elisabeth Morrow String Festival! (Tuition value of $750.)

Student will need to audition and be accepted into the program. Student would also have to submit a negative Covid test prior to the first day, and comply with all of Covid precautions at EMS.

This package also includes an additional fiberglass white hard violin case that is signed by Amelia Gold and all the EMS Music Department Educators! (Priceless!)

Join Head of School, Dr. Maureen Fonseca, for an evening of wonderful conversation and dinner at her home! Dr. Fonseca will host you and spouse/partner and 6 other guests and will serve delicious traditional food from her country, Guyana, including her famous Guyanese curry!

This item will not expire and can be used whenever it's safe to gather. A date will be coordinated between the winner and Dr. Fonseca.

Spend time relaxing and learning the art of silk painting. Choose between a small bag or silk circles to learn how to sketch out a photo of your choice, learn how to apply resist, and finally paint and set the silk with heat. You will be provided with the paint, brushes, marker to sketch and resist. This is suitable for grades 3 to adult!

Spend an exciting day with Dr. Rurik Nackerud at the American Museum of Natural History! This VIP experience will take you behind the scenes of the museum as you learn about its many exhibits, collections, its planetarium, and library! The mission statement of the museum is, "to discover, interpret, and disseminate-through scientific research and education-knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe." This is bound to be both a fun and educational day!

Our very own 1st grade teacher, Ms. Goodwin, would love to teach your child and a couple of their close friends some cooking skills. It can be a lesson on how to decorate a cake, or some festive cookies, or maybe a cooking lesson for something more savory like pizza! This can be done after school on campus, or over Zoom.

As a professional photographer and certified graphic designer, John Contreras, will give you hands on basics with your camera, advise on the right equipment you need, and test your knowledge in the field.

One lucky winner will get an afternoon of private language instruction combined with pasta-making via Zoom. Learn Italian while you prepare some yummy Italian treats. Hosted by Ms. Tonetti, a Morrow House history teacher.

Win an after-school CH sing-a-long in the music room!

Join Mrs. Spaeth in the CH music room for a special 30-minute after-school Sing-Along!

The winner can invite up to 7 CH friends. Students must be current CH students (or siblings).

All students must wear masks. The winner can request their favorite songs, or have Mrs. Spaeth create the playlist.

The date will be set at a mutually convenient time. Must be redeemed before the end of the academic year.

Three hours of math tutoring with Dave Messler, EMS Morrow House Math teacher.
Need a homework coach? Test prep? Reinforcement or Enrichment? Whether you are in Middle School or High school, Dave Messler can help. He can work with you virtually or in person. Dave Messler will contact the winner to make arrangements for dates, locations, and times once he is notified who is the lucky family.

Join Ms. Pronga for a game of hoops! EMS's own 4th grade teacher was previously a high school girl's coach and player as well! Winner can pick 3 friends for a two on two game with Ms. Pronga on the court outside Morrow House

(weather permitting, date and time to be approved by the school, masks required).

Join Morrow House art teacher Sarah Smith for a personal art lesson!

90 minute private art lesson, for 1 - 3 classmates or siblings who attend EMS (up to the winner's discretion).

The class will be a clay hand-building course using the clay room at school.

Finished pieces will be kiln-fired, glazed and returned to the children.

Create your own greeting cards! Learn about coloring with Copic markers, die-cutting, embossing among other techniques. You will be provided with the supplies and then it is time to have fun and experiment. This is suitable for grades 3 to adult!

One free week of Summer Explorations 2021, open to ages 2 through grade 9.
