The Akron Civic Theatre's Staging the Future campaign signifies the exciting future that awaits us!

To date, we have secured $8.2 million toward our goal of $8.5 million. The project encompasses:

• Restoration of the Whitelaw building on the Civic's immediate north side, which will become home to our intimate new 200+ seat performance space and is expected to be ready to open in October.

• A new three-window box office, an elevator and a large outdoor deck for mingling before and after shows on the immediate south side of the theater.

• Restoration of the Grand Lobby and Entry Arcade to bring back the stunning original 1929 beauty and elegance.

• Implementation of our outdoor public art project, which includes installation of a large video wall and two large-scale murals on our sweeping exterior walls, which will make the outside of the theater as much of an asset as the inside of the theater.
